The Apple Music exclusive literally killed Rise its first week.
Is the title still not known? That's pretty crazy to not know that yet, imo. I think even with the biggest of releases: Born This Way, Roar, Hello, etc....the title was known. So this is crazy.

I disagree with this, they're just the best ones at keeping them under wraps and take the most precaution. Some leaks are to test out the product, I agree on that, but not an album or song leaking within a week of release after all the money has already been put into its production, which is the majority of them. Do singles still leak? Legit question, but did any anticipated single leak this year? I know everything leaked in 2011, but... Actually good question. CTTR didn't leak, but the title was known. |

Most of the New Music Friday playlists that have been updated for this week on Spotify have the placeholder image of clouds as the cover, rather than an artist, which gives me hope that this won't be an Apple Music exclusive (usually – I thiiink "Chained To The Rhythm" is a previous example?? – the placeholder image gets replaced once the big, not-until-midnight-Eastern release becomes available and it's included at the top of the NMF playlists).

Despacito isn't great, but it's better then the piece of outdated white noise that is One Sweet Day, which primarily had its success of name recognition and doesn't even feel like a very big hit.
