Cody Wants Out... I'm sorry to hear that about your dog. I hope he gets well soon. If it's alright everyone, I'm also going to do open deadlines at the moment for all of my rankdowns that were due in June. This includes the Jake Owen and Shania Twain albums as well as the Female "Flops" of 2019 radio. This even includes the Adele album rankdown. They'll have due dates eventually, but I have no WiFi so I can't use my computer and am reduced to mobile (where I have to deal with figuring out BBCode...*shudders*), and my data is never the best, which is why I haven't been as active in general on Pulse and have had to miss a rankdown or two. Add all this to the events of the past couple weeks. It's been a very trying time for all of us it seems. These rankdowns will still happen I promise and I really hope I'll have WiFi in July...my grandma hinted she might let me come with her to the place she'll be moving to (with a friend of hers) so that I don't have to go back and deal with my toxic uncle and grandpa.

Update for everyone on my rankdowns:
My grandma's new place will have WiFi!!! Thank God, the data being so slow is a mess to deal with. It caused me to miss an important email from college the other day. Luckily they later wound up calling me the next day.
I still don't know for sure whether or not I'll be with grandma when she moves or back to my uncle's place. If it does turn out to be the latter option, I have a way to keep away from him so it'll be fine. Either way though, I will have WiFi in July, which will make Pulse easier to navigate. So while my rankdowns still have open deadlines, you can expect July deadlines. (Perhaps even an early August deadline for the longer Female "Flops" of Radio list)

Even though I kinda screwed up the Sam Hunt Rankdown (thanks for picking it up @bboat), I think I’m ready to start another one and keep track of the numbers throughout the entire process instead of figuring them out once everyone has submitted.
Anyway, I’m thinking either Old Dominion, Lee Brice or something kinda creative like ‘songs with the word [blank] in the title’, since it is country music I may have good luck choosing the word ‘drink’ or something lmao.

I like all those ideas! Both Old Dominion and Lee Brice have been around long enough to have enough singles for a singles rankdown, but not enough for it to be exceedingly long or time consuming. So I think they could be fun! Regarding the random word idea, that would be a unique and fun thing to add to the country rankdown world! I would pick a more interesting word than "drink" though Lmao (But I do not know you very well yet; how good is your back-knowledge of country music? Because imo it would be kinda weird for somebody to be picking song titles for a rankdown like that if they don't have a substantial knowledge of the catalogs of all the big artists for at least the last 3-4 decades... Lol. Or you could rely on the collective minds of the participants and open it up for suggestions!) Love this idea though!!

Thank you for the input, I think I will stick with one of those two artists I mentioned and maybe someday go with something like my other idea. I am not too familiar with anything before about 2000 unless it is someone really well known or a really classic song.

bboat11 girl WHAT is that?! WHO is that? Is that Reba? :O
Also, while I'm here, one final update as for my rankdowns: I decided it'd be best for me to head back to my uncle's. As I said, I have a way to stay away from him so it should be fine. Besides, grandma moves in less than two weeks and it had begun to get crowded, what with all the boxes lying around. It's a small apartment. Most importantly as to where rankdowns are concerned: I have WiFi again!! Which means I can now continue on with the rankdowns. I'll work with the current roster of open rankdowns and figure out proper due dates, and will have updates tomorrow, as soon as I catch up on the various lists that have been submitted over the past few weeks. :)

Ooh! I wanna join on the gif teasing! Shall I resume the album series that's ongoing or start with a completely different one that's already on the queue? Or perhaps do both with the future album series coming next month some time?

Lmao we're down to what, only 3 more Lady A albums left? That'll be fun to wrap up :)

Since taylor is terrified finally got the hint today... Coming Soon: I have had this on the queue for awhile now. I know there are a lot of album series right now, but with Faith Hill being done, George being almost done, and Reba being one more set away from being done with her '90s phase, that means I am going to have a LOT more free time in my rankdown schedule in the near future! It feels like a good time to unveil my next series Terri Clark is less of a superstar, and less of a Pulse fave, than several people we have done album series for... However, she is without a doubt one of the most criminally underrated artists of our lifetimes. She is among the VERY select group of artists who churn out a nearly perfect album almost every single time. If you have never checked her out, I highly recommend you jump on board and dive into her albums with me! We will begin soon! In the meantime, if anybody has any exciting things to share about Terri or her albums, feel free to discuss here (You might even be able to try to talk me into starting with your favorite album if you are vocal enough ) Kanenrá:ke taylor is terrified .indulgecountry codyj100 tim castleoblivion26 George Strait Junkie LBTrocks austin fearlessarrow Cody Wants Out... someguy ClevelandRox (I know others might be interested, but these are who I thought of first off the top of my head!)

I'll start. I saw Terri live a few years ago. The day of the show, I tweeted her asking if she would please perform "Three Mississippi" that night, and she responded to me!!!!!! And y'all, the moment I heard that opening fiddle live for the first time, my entire existence was validated and made complete Not only is she the first artist to play my request, but the fact that she would take the time to enthusiastically respond to me... Most of y'all probably underestimate the extent to which I stan for this woman 😂

I'm STOKED for the Terri Clark Album Series! I'd missed the singles RD but I've been waiting for the album series since I first saw it in the queue! And since you said you'd oblige us if we're vocal enough... CAN WE PLEASE START WITH Life Goes On?!?!?! That album has "She Didn't Have Time" which is one of my all-time favorite songs. (I'd love for it to get some revenge after it didn't win the Women of the 2000s RD) Terri is so underrated it's criminal; I absolutely love her vocals. I don't think she was on the Icons of Country RD which in hindsight I think is a very bad snub. lady𝓐fan we really should've gone over that list at least 20 times before opening that RD lol

Hi everyone. Over the last several weeks, I've noticed that one of my older dogs (Hunter, a beagle who'll be twelve years old this August) has been in quite a lot of pain, including but not limited to an enlarged prostate, which led to a loss of appetite among several other things. Recently, he's been walking incredibly slow, but with some of his appetite back. Unfortunately, through a phone call from less than two hours ago from a vet we've seen for years, there's a high probability that Hunter has a type of neuropathy affecting his spinal cord and hind legs as they tend to shake a little when he walks. Caring for him has been a bigger task than usual these days, but we're all making the most of it. About three weeks later, as of roughly 11:15PM EST, Hunter has passed away from unforseen circumstances. This is one of the most painful losses for me to date. :'(

Hello everybody! As you are aware, I made rules for the Country rankdown queue several months ago to try to help things move faster. I have given a bit of a grace period before I started adamantly enforcing them, but I am letting you know that the enforcement is beginning! As of today, all rankdown ideas that have been on the queue for longer than 6 months have been removed, with just a couple exceptions. The first exception is that if a host spoke recently to me or others about starting their rankdown, I kept it there (so, .indulgecountry with the Kellie Pickler rankdown for example, or myself with the Terri Clark album series). The other exception is that I did not do anything with the year-end rankdowns (for now). Those are a bit more in demand, so I want to try to reach a more diplomatic solution than just taking them away like some kind of petulant child, lol. But they cannot continue to sit there and not happen, so decisions will be made soon with regards to them (Hosts who are making active progress towards finishing their year-ends, like sabre14 , have nothing to worry about! It is the years that have been sitting there unhosted for 3+ years that will be seeing some changes soon). If you had a rankdown that I just removed from the queue, know that you are still allowed to host it when you have time! It is not going to be reserved for you until you have the time though. Soooo, for example, if we get a few months down the road and castleoblivion26 decides that he still wants to do a rankdown for The Wilkinsons, he is still welcome to do so! But if anyone else finds the time before then and decides to make it happen faster, they are also welcome to do so. The goal is not to take your rankdown ideas away from you, it is to prevent people from signing up for rankdowns and then leaving them on the queue unhosted for multiple years at a time... I do not foresee there being any issues once we get everything settled with the small handful of rankdowns that have been on the queue forever. We're all pretty good about playing nice with each other

bboat11 I see a Martina Singles Redo in that now-abbreviated queue...is my mind playing tricks or was that not there before and will therefore be coming soon?! Well, it's been discussed quite a bit since we're redoing Carrie and about to redo Taylor! (I mean, you probably haven't seen the discussion... It's been mostly in my private messages with tim and fearlessarrow... Lol) They and Martina were like the first 3 country artist rankdowns that we did, and unfortunately that means that they happened so early on in the rankdown timeline that most of the current participants didn't get to partake! Between the people like you and tim who missed it the first time around, and the people like fearlessarrow who didn't know anything about Martina at the time and ranked everything based on first impression and has since formulated very different opinions, I'd say it's worth a revisit! So yes, I have just added a Martina Singles Redo to the queue, to be coming soon :) Those who missed it the first time around can have something to look forward to!

I know a few of y'all have submitted for the Tanya Tucker rankdown already, but I'm thinking about retooling it a little bit. Would splitting her proposed discography (i.e. the rankdown songlist) into two parts work better? For instance, 30 songs from her early career (teenage years) and 40 songs from her later career ('86 to present)?
I should be able to relaunch all of my rankdowns this week.

I'm crazy lol, but I prefer the discography to be all in one place/rankdown. For me, seeing just the one rankdown on the queue makes me feel better than seeing two of them and knowing they'd both be larger, if that makes sense. In whatever case, I would quite frankly do it how you want it. I know you've had an insanely trying time this summer and it may be easier on your mental health if you were to split the discography in two rather than hosting the entire 70 songs at once.

I am fine either way with Tanya. It does not matter to me, as I already did my list, so it won't be any more work either way Both ways have their advantages. It is probably a toss up as to whether people will be more likely to participate one way over the other. The two rankdown idea is enticing because they would be smaller, but it might also scare people away just by the fact that it is two separate rankdowns, when they could have originally just put in the time to submit once. Then there's the fact that if we have her career split in half, we will have no idea how the songs all compare to each other! But like I said, ultimately I am fine either way.

I'd prefer it to stay as one tbh but I won't be upset if it doesn't. I really love Tanya and loved diving into her discography more than I ever have before so that was fun. Either way I'm excited for the reveals! also bboat11 I do plan to open The Wilkinsons series starting after the Lee Ann Womack series wraps up so it'll be a little while longer but I do plan to do it still. I get why it was removed though so no worries there.

I agree with castleoblivion26 that I’d prefer to see the Tanya Tucker rankdown remain intact as it was, but the trick remains getting members to commit to larger artist rankdowns such as these. I can’t say I would be a fan of divvying up these type of rankdowns and speaking for myself it would possibly deter me from participating, but I can see why it could be potentially beneficial to participation in some aspects.
