There is no way that Taylor will have 500K by the end of the tracking week, I've seen some of the numbers, and it's dropping pretty fast already. I think it's sales might jump back up a little after the video is released though. I'm saying somewhere between 250K-325K, I think 500K is not gonna happen. The songs sold 200k on its first day based on reports. It has a music video premiering tonight. With all of that you honestly think it s only going to manage 50k from the rest of the week? lol

At best it could get 350K maybe 400K, but 500K seems like too huge a jump, and with all the polarizing backlash the song is getting I wouldn't be that surprised if it failed to break that barrier of 500K.

Swift's single is still selling more than 4:1 over the two versions of "Despacito."
But yeah, the chart week after Swift moves to #1 will be interesting. "Despacito" will continue to erode before then, and Swift will have a huge drop, but what else can threaten?

Actually this brings an interesting subject. We know Taylor Swift is a radio darling, and she can get good sales as well, but we don't even know how she can perform on streaming, especially with the rise of urban music as of late. We already seen her get to #1 on the first day on Spotify, beating out songs from XXXTENTACION and Lil Uzi Vert. (Thought both were largely due to their albums dropping) I think it would be interesting to see how Taylor holds, what with her being on Spotify and other streaming services.

The music video will undoubtedly subdue the drop, particularly if it is amazing. With all of this said, don't you think industry experts whose job is, in part,in projections would have accounted for likely drops in their initial prediction? I'd think so. It may be off a bit, but to miss the mark by a large margin would be embarassing for places like Billboard. I think they know what they're doing.

I've heard that the music video goes after Kanye and Kim very hard, not so sure it will be received all that well by a lot of people who just want all this pettiness to end already. But we shall soon see.

How long should Swift stay at #1 if she ends up getting there? I'm still wondering if Bodak Yellow and Wild Thoughts have any chance at this point.

If Taylor's time at the top is short lived, then "Bodak Yellow" still has a great chance to get to #1 in the next few weeks. However, I think the window has closed for "Wild Thoughts" at this point; it's sales have dropped dramatically since it was taken off sale, and although it is still making some gains in airplay, I don't believe that will be enough for it in the end. Just my opinion.

Well, speaking of Wild Thoughts, it got dethroned on Urban radio today by Rake It Up. But expect Bodak Yellow to take over at some point.

2017/08/27 *** = dropped or added a format 5. LUIS FONSI - Despacito f/Daddy Yankee: 144.578 (-3.509) So this is losing 20M+ radio audience a week. hopefully that'll help secure Taylor's chances at multiple weeks at #1 as well How long should Swift stay at #1 if she ends up getting there? I'm still wondering if Bodak Yellow and Wild Thoughts have any chance at this point. Hopefully she can get 2-3 weeks

simmnfierzig's final predictions from ATRL 1 Despacito 500 (=) -6% 2 Wild Thoughts 400 (=) -12% 3 Bodak Yellow 359 (=) +16% Oh yeah, so "BY" is closer to "WT" than '"WT" is to "D." Plus the trends are working in favor of "BY." Now that "WT" seems to have peaked at radio, too, it will really start to implode.

I think that LWYMMD will get 2 weeks on #1 at first, as BY will be too far behind and Despacito will be drowning in it's own bodily fluids, but after that BY will claim the #1 slot for 2-3 weeks, and later get dethroned by Taylor for another 3-4 weeks after she'll grow on radio, and then a random song like Feel It Still, Fuck Love Rake it Up will take it's place, just to be dethroned by The Weeknd or TØP.

^That's was both versions discounted. Also, it seems that the Wild Thoughts challenge didn't get the desired response.

Tbh if LWYMMD keeps growing on radio like it is, BY has no chance at #1. Swift will top the Radio Chart pretty quickly and it seems like she has an awesome streaming power on Spotify. Combine that with the MV and considering Swift is a very visual artist, she'll have tons of streams. Idk how sales will evolve though.

It's too early to know how "LMYMMD" will hold on, though. The reaction to it has been mixed at best, from what I've seen. Early hype is going to help it debut strong, but will it hold on? Too soon to really know.

Poor, I'm The One. Debuts at #1, spend six weeks above 45k just to get blocked by Despacito/TWIL and falls pretty hard after leaving the top three.

Even though I am personally liking this song more and more, I think with the highly polarized public opinion (mostly negative though) and the mostly negative critic reviews for this song, although it will launch very high I don't think it will have a very long run at #1. I'm expecting a run like Born This Way or her own WANEGBT.

Maybe she's coming for 70+ million streams. Insane.

The video looks pretty good. I just am not sure how this song will perform considering the song's negative perception of it. Radio is soaring though.
