Never Wanted Nothing More (than a Kenny Chesney Rankdown)

Welcome to Never Wanted Nothing More, a Kenny Chesney rankdown, and my debut attempt at hosting! I am hopeful that there is enough interest for one of the biggest stars in country music over the past two decades, albeit one that seems to be quite polarizing here on Pulse. Whether you are a fan, a casual listener, or a critic of his, I hope you find something in his catalog that you enjoy enough to participate, as there is no denying Kenny's impact on the country music genre since the turn of the century.

There are 60 songs in the rankdown that consist of all of Kenny's singles promoted to country radio since is sophomore album, All I Need to Know. If interested in participating, all you need to do is:
1. Listen to the below songs.
2. Rank them from #1 through #60, with #1 being your favorite and #60 being your least favorite.
3. PM me your list.
4. Submit a list of up to 10 of your favourite album tracks (*optional*)
5. Follow along with the results!

Songs will be ranked on an inverse point scale (#60 having 1 point and #1 having 60 points). If you want to change your submission at any time, you can do it as many times as you want before the deadline.

The due date for submissions is October 25th. I want to give plenty of time for people to become familiar with the songs if they aren't already, as well as some time between all of the recent rankdowns that have been due this month. If you want to participate but feel you might not make the deadline, let me know and we'll work something out! I'm very flexible.

If you wish to be taken off the tag list or be tagged (whether to participate or just follow along), please let me know. I'm still rather new to Pulse, so if you see somebody that is not tagged who you think may want to participate, feel free to tag them!

I'm actually pretty excited about this! I hated him throughout the 2000s, but I have decided it was just because he was pretty much unavoidable as an artist. His music was EVERYWHERE, and to be honest I probably just wanted them to play Martina more LMAO! But pretty much all of his stuff has aged incredibly well for me, other than a handful of songs. I will still probably dislike more in this list than I normally would in a rankdown, but I am actually super pumped about a lot of the songs I do love.

I think as long as you don't make the due date the same time as this one, I don't think opening another rankdown would be a problem  But that's your call so...

And yes, I'll be in for this as well!

No need to postpone! The other country rankdowns are heading into reveals soon and it'd be fun to have Keith and Kenny going on at the same time. Count me in for it!

I've actually heard most of these but ranking this is gonna be so hard. Songs like "You & Tequila", "Who You'd Be Today", "You Save Me" and so many more, are just classic gems and just amazing songs as a whole.

Sent! LOVE my top 23, like 24-40 a lot, 41-47 are alright, 48-54 are meh, 55-57 are bad, 58 is terrible, 59 is ridiculously awful, and 60 is just one of the biggest pieces of garbage in country music history (excluding bro-country).

I'm glad I just saw this! I'll definitely be doing this one...Kenny was a favorite of my favorites back in the early 2000's. I don't like his more recent stuff as much, but I like his stuff well enough to participate.

I have been working on launching my second country artist rankdown by the end of this month, but I suppose I can postpone it for about a couple of weeks if I can step in and do the results for this one; it's looking like the turnout won't be so overwhelming.
