A doo-wop classic, this peaked at #24 upon original release but has an incalculable legacy. This was later re-released twice more in 1960 and 1961 and is the only song by the same artist to have charted three times on three different releases.
Recorded in a church basement. Gorgeous vocals at the end.

I've always loved this and incidentally heard it the other day in a movie. A '50s classic.

Supposedly this one of the best selling singles of all the early rock era (1955-63) but it is strange it never even cracked the Top 20.

Boyz II Men performed and released a cover of this song in 1992 for the Jacksons minseries. their version reached #3 on the Hot 100. anyway it is such a great song.
