Made it halfway through the album and have 7 songs saved so far. Better than I expected.

Everything sounds so samey. I could barely finish the first half. Why did his label agree to release this, again?
Edit: doubt if I'll go back to the other songs, but there are some decent materials, even though I prefer "Still Got Time" over everything that made the album.

This is easily one of my favorite albums of the year. "Imprint" and "Common" are great tracks.

Listened to it all the way through twice while wrapping gifts and doing some work from home and discovered a solid and rather fresh Pop album in the midst of the self-indulgent fat. In a perfect world, NCNL would be smashing on radio right now but since he doesn't seem interested in commercial success in the slightest, I have zero expectation beyond the album actually being released and will just enjoy it and this era as it is.

I haven't been able to sit and listen to all 27 songs in one go, but I have enjoyed pretty much all of the songs I've heard. The sound is cohesive, and I can see how that would lend itself to some of the feedback above about the songs blending. Still, I like the vibe. He sounds fantastic.

I have zero expectation beyond the album actually being released and will just enjoy it and this era as it is. I usually don't obsess over chart positions/sales like most people here do, but this should've had a better opening. It would be a shame if this album disappears with 2018. |

This album is great, but it's a year too late. It seems like Zayn's trying to get out of his contract, though. I read somewhere that he had a two-album deal with RCA. There's nothing on the RCA website regarding Icarus Falls, which speaks volumes. I'm sure the label is eager to cut ties, since he refuses to promote in a traditional way. I don't understand what kind of career he's trying to have, but I hope he doesn't regret anything in the longrun because you only get so many chances in an industry that is chewing 'em up and spittin' 'em out faster than you can say thank u, next. Good luck to him!

1 part when Dusk till down was a hit everywhere except US
and 2 part when he put the whole album
if he wanted it to be like christmas present or smth
