Great list and great number 1. Thanks Disco!
It was my first rankdown. It was nice to have 20 songs and 20 participants.
Out of curiosity I did the correlation of the final rank with each participant and Crap had the highest correlation coefficient (0.820). chartfanatic15 and JT had the two closest rankings (correlation 0.851).
(correlation coefficient = 1 means perfect agreement, -1 perfect disagreement)

Sad to see "This Is Your Night" miss the top 5! "What is Love" is fine you guys and I understand its such a staple now but its so average. That top 2 is perfect though!!!!!

15. More & More: :o :O :O Surprised at this leaving so early! the instrumental was ACE, and the sing-rap combo effective. A personal chart-topper and national legit hit with longevity throughout the 90s. Deserved better here... 14. Dreamer: I guess I under-ranked this a bit because I hadn't heard it before this RD. On first listens this was just ok and nothing really grabbed me 13. Everybody's Free: the first minute is so EPIC! the piano riff in the middle of the song was another clear representation of 90s dance music. A top 10 in my book :) [an interesting additional tidbit: Baz Luhrmamn's remix to this song was used for his random hit "Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)" 12. Ooh Aah: Almost ranked it a bit higher... it's ok for me, but closer to the Techno sound I mentioned before that I associate with too generic ish of the early 90s 11. Your Lovin' Arms: I first heard this for the 1996 RD and did like it then... and still liked it for this RD, so I had a P-P-P-PERFECT RANKING!

10. Where Do You Go: not a bad song, but back home LaBouche's version was a hit before we were exposed to this cover, which felt like a lesser version of a strong song. I do like the guitars in NM's version, though 9. Mr. Vain: :o :o :O :O WTF? The instrumental, the voice, the energy, the strings behind the second chorus, the break, like WOW! I first heard Culture Beat's I Like You (it ranked in videos chart show back home), then Got To Get It in the radio, and then this one. At the beginning, I liked it but not as strongly and stopped short in its first appearance in my ranking. Then I re-charted the longer version and it quickly reached the top. This is one of the classics of the 90s. Should've been top 5 8. Get Ready for This: 2U were a great act with several strong singles. GRFT is quite strong. Good to see it top 10. 7. Beautiful Life: P-P-P-PERFECT RANKING! This has become my favorite single from The Bridge, especially after using it as a song to lift my spirits in tough moments. Back home, however, this was the second single following (the non-acoustic version of) Lucky Love. BL had a good punch, especially the last minute or so, with the O' right in the background for example. Still, I was amazed at how they went from such strong singles from The Sign with questionable singles (and songs) in The Bridge 6. This Is Your Night: sorry, but this just feels like a medley of other songs, like Another Night and I'm Gonna Get You. Not bad itself, but it sounds... reductive

5. Rhythm Is a Dancer: Probably the most Epic intro for a dance song ever... the spacey sounds, the female voice, the strings, WOW1 the chorus is as strong as it can be, almost like 2 choruses in one. I feel the rap verse (and the instrumentation behind) could have been just a bit stronger, and that's why I didn't rank it a bit higher, but this is a mammoth dance song. Happy to see it top 5! 4. What Is Love: From the first time I heard it, this brought back the vibe of songs with disco, R&B vibe from late 70s, early 80s. I appreciate that this is a full-sung dance song. No raps, no female singer/male rapper combo. He SANGS with emotion. And the high energy in the production complements the uniquely strong soulful type of dance. 3. The Rhythm of the Night: Another strong song, especially the chorus. I just had much more love from other songs in this RD :) Back home, Summer Is Magic was another hit with JB's lead vocals, and some DJs would be confused and credit it not only to Playahitty but also Corona (lol) 2. Another Night: at some point I had this one at #2 as well, but ended up settling it for #5. In the end, my 2-5 are almost interchangeable for me. I love this one. A great song, with the piano intro sound becoming almost iconic. It feels much more pop than other songs in this RD and it really works. Pretty strong song. 1. Be My Lover: Le Click's Tonight Is the Night was a big hit back home (and in my personal chart), and La Bouche's debut era followed up just as strongly. Sweet Dreams and Where Do You Go were pretty big, too. I Love To Love and Fallin' In Love were also moderate hits. Be My Lover however was the king of it all. Melanie's voice was everything! To me, BML was the best example of funk, soul, disco, dance, techno music --the big opposite to just far too many pretty shitty techno music that had been in our airwaves previous years. The song structure, instrumentation, voice, all worked perfectly in one of the best dance --erase that --one of the best songs of the 1990s! Super deserving #1 in this RD!!! Thanks a lot, Disco for this awesome RD!!
