so happy "Wrong Baby Wrong Baby Wrong" was deservedly the #1 here! "I Just Call You Mine" had no business in the top 5 of this album. It is not bad but I remember when this was released as a single I was so angry. This felt like "How I Feel" all over again. "Anyway" was huge and then she releases a love song that stalls in the teens. The she followed up "Ride" with another love song that, yes much better than the other, but still another love song and yet again she stalled in the teens. Had "How I Feel" not been a single and destroyed the momentum of Waking Up Laughing I think I wouldn't be so bitter towards "I Just Call You Mine" because it felt like history repeated itself.
Anyway, "Wrong Baby Wrong Baby Wrong" is an amazing song and I struggled over putting that or "Lies" at #1 because I love both songs so much. Glad both did so well!

Wow! First time I listened to “Wrong Baby Wrong” I was like “Damn, this is so catchy but it’ll probably be out before the top half.

WBWBW is the best song she has ever done. It totally works. She sings it beautifully and had it been the lead single, it would have been an easy #1 for her. I Just Call You Mine, while a good song, zapped some momentum from her. Ride would have also done better as the second single after WBWBW smashed.

Perfect winner! This isn't my favourite Martina album, but WBWBW is one of the best recent additions to her catalogue. I wish it had been a bigger radio hit for her though - I wonder if it would have been a top 5 or so if it had been the lead single.

The Time Has Come
 In a super close race between Martina's 3 most traditional country albums, I am both shocked and pleased to inform you that Martina's 1992 debut album, The Time Has Come, ended up victorious! I thought for sure when there was a 3-way tie between this one, The Way That I Am, and Timeless, her second album The Way That I Am would come out on top! Bearing such classics as "Independence Day" and "Strangers", that one is much better known and loved than her debut, which didn't do much of anything commercially. In the end, the more modern-sounding Martina album saw a major resurgence and ended up tying with TWTIA and Timeless for 2nd place, while her debut managed to sneak in one more vote to beat them all. So I am shocked that her debut won, but I am super excited as well! I have been looking forward to this one because, unlike many of the albums we have done so far, every song here is relatively unknown by anyone who is not a die-hard Martina fan. There are no huge hits (the title track was a top 20 for her, but is very much forgotten these days). So I am excited to see if an album track can pull off a victory in this one. This album may be old and traditional, but I can honestly say that it has aged more gracefully than many other debut albums have. It sounds different just because Martina doesn't have any other albums that sound like this one, but it is by no means out of place among her catalog. So hopefully we can get another large turnout for this one  The Songs:

Finally the time has come! Lol in all seriousness though I’ve been waiting for either her debut or sophomore album next, so I’m happy to see one of them win. Both of these albums came at a time when I was first discovering country music and I very much remember seeing the video for “Cheap Whiskey” quite often on CMT.
