I found 2009 to be an absolutely fantastic year. The lows were low but the highs were very high. I had nowhere near enough room in my top 10. The only songs I can safely say I dislike are my 90-100. And when I did the preference revealer, songs I expected to be in my top 20 ended up in the 40s. Pains me to have to rank some songs as low as I did, but that's how it goes.

On the other hand, thinking of NCs, oh my god, this will be a bad year for that. Other than Uprising and a few other songs, so much mediocrity.

I always preferred Shut Up and Let Me Go (as well as Great DJ) to this one but it's not bad. I got their album and liked some of the album tracks. They have one song on it, Impacilla Carpisung, which is literally straight-up gibberish apart from one line. To quote Jules, the guy that's not the lead singer, "It's almost like you think [the lead singer]'s singing something, but it's just complete gobbledygook". In China, this song does not appear on the album because they think there might be a secret message hidden in the song, since they can't translate it. |
