Okay now we're REALLY stretching the definition of alternative metal For Song For The Deaf? I think it fits squarely into the genre, as does a lot of that specific album. |

There still interest in this? I was waiting for people to get the final two songs, but so I can revitalize this I'll give a big clue for both so we can get into the final 10 songs! 3. This song topped alt in 1992 and was this band's only #1, despite them having other hits, including a pop crossover a few years prior. 9. This song is by one of the big four grunge bands. My first clue references one of the most prominent lyrics in the verse. |

I'll give a big-ish clue for both since people seem to be stuck and I wanna start soon! 17. I found out about this band and particular song during a Rock Critic episode about the best nu-metal bands. Also, hot Ricky Van Shelton remake? 18. Despite a fast start and the love of almost everyone that posted on its thread, this song stalled out in the mid 20s on active during 2015. |
