I really wish "Jumped Out The Whip" had charted instead.
But "Stuntin' Ain't Nothing" was probably the second best non-charting song off Mr. Davis.

Garth Brooks Earns First Hot 100 Hit in 10 Years With 'Ask Me How I Know' 10/24/2017 by Jim Asker
Theo Wargo/Getty Images Garth Brooks performs at Yankee Stadium on July 8, 2016 in New York City.
The track is Brooks' first top 10 since 2007's No. 1 "More Than a Memory." Garth Brooks reaches the top 10 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart for the 35th time, and the first time in almost 10 years, as "Ask Me How I Know" rises 12-10 on the list dated Nov. 4. It gains by 9 percent to 27.5 million in audience, according to Nielsen Music.
The track is the second single from his 2016 Gunslinger set, following the No. 15-peaking "Baby, Let's Lay Down and Dance." The set has sold 126,000 copies, adding to Brooks' standing as the top-selling album artist since Nielsen began tracking sales in 1991. He has sold 71.9 million albums since then. The Beatles follow with 68.9 million, while Metallica ranks third with 58.3 million. Brooks scores his first Country Airplay top 10 since "More Than a Memory," the only song ever to debut atop the chart. "Memory" soared in at No. 1 on Sept. 15, 2007, becoming his 18th leader. After its week on top, it spent 14 more weeks in the top 10 (through Dec. 22, 2007).
Brooks also joins 10 other acts in notching Country Airplay top 10s in the '90s, '00s and '10s. The others to accomplish such triple-decade top 10 success: Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans, Vince Gill, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, George Strait and Clay Walker.
Meanwhile, "Ask" becomes Brooks' first Billboard Hot 100 entry in nearly 10 years, debuting at No. 98. He'd last appeared on the all-genre ranking with "Memory," which reached No. 53 in December 2007. (His highest Hot 100 rank? Perhaps surprisingly, "Lost in You," which debuted at peaked at No. 5 in 1999 … as credited to "Garth Brooks as Chris Gaines," his fictional rock star persona.)
"In looking over the songs Garth has released for the last 10-plus years, ['Ask'] is testing better than anything I've seen [since 'Memory']," says WDAF Kansas City program director Wes Poe. "The younger part of our audience actually embraced this single first. It's awesome to see that part of this story unfold. And, after seven sold-out shows last spring in Kansas City, it's hard to ignore that the Garth force is still strong here."
"'Ask Me How I Know' has been a consistent solid tester for us," echoes KKBQ Houston pd Johnny Chiang. "Considering the question of whether Garth is still relevant today, it's clear-cut: yes! He's a transcendent superstar and our audience loves him."

Hot 100 Chart Moves: Gucci Mane, P!nk, Ed Sheeran & Camila Cabello Hit the Top 20
Plus, Dua Lipa & Blackbear earn their first top 40 Hot 100 hits. As previously reported, Post Malone's "Rockstar," featuring 21 Savage, spends a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated Nov. 4). Meanwhile, two rock bands -- Portugal. The Man and Imagine Dragons -- appear in the top five simultaneously for the first time in over 10 years, while Demi Lovato lifts to another personal-best rank with "Sorry Not Sorry," at No. 7. Who else makes notable Hot 100 chart moves this week?
"I Get the Bag," Gucci Mane feat. Migos As Gucci Mane's new album Mr. Davis bounds onto the Billboard 200 at No. 2, and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums at No. 1, with 70,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music, the rapper (born Radric Delantic Davis) surges 24-11 on the Hot 100 with the set's Migos-assisted "I Get the Bag." Streaming is driving the single, which jumps 7-4 on the Streaming Songs chart (27.6 million U.S. streams in the tracking week, up 22 percent, good for the Hot 100's top Streaming Gainer award).
Gucci Mane is now a notch away from his first Hot 100 top 10 as a lead artist. He's reached the region once, as featured on Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles," which spent seven weeks at No. 1 beginning Nov. 26, 2016.
"What About Us," P!nk Above Gucci Mane on the Billboard 200 is P!nk, whose Beautiful Trauma launches at No. 1 with 408,000 units, the most for a woman in 2017. Lead single "What About Us" leaps 23-13 on the Hot 100, becoming her 18th song to reach the top 15; of those, 15 have hit the top 10. Airplay is leading the way for the song, which rises 10-8 on Radio Songs (79 million in audience, up 6 percent).
"Perfect," Ed Sheeran The ballad becomes the third top 20 hit from Ed Sheeran's album ÷, jumping 22-18. It lifts 4- 3 on Digital Song Sales (50,000 downloads sold, up 14 percent), 34-30 on Radio Songs (45 million, up 17 percent) and 46-35 on Streaming Songs (11.5 million, up 12 percent). The first two singles from ÷, "Shape of You" and "Castle on the Hill," opened at their Nos. 1 and 6 peaks, respectively, on Jan. 28, making Sheeran the first artist ever to debut two titles in the top 10 simultaneously. "Shape" went on to total 12 weeks at No. 1 and a record 33 weeks in the top 10. In its 41st week on the Hot 100, it ranks at No. 22, after spending its first 40 weeks in the top 20, the longest run in the top 20 for a song from its debut in the chart's history.
"Havana," Camila Cabello feat. Young Thug The song from Camila Cabello (born in Cojimar, Eastern Havana, Cuba) featuring Young Thug rounds out the quartet of new top 20 Hot 100 entrants, climbing 26-20. It gains 10-6 on Digital Song Sales (35,000, up 8 percent), 22-18 on Streaming Songs (17.8 million, up 17 percent) and 50-36 on Radio Songs (37 million, up 44 percent). Cabello ties her second-highest rank as a soloist, as she reached No. 20 in January 2016 with Shawn Mendes on "I Know What You Did Last Summer." She's also one of the acts billed together as Artists for Puerto Rico, the featured collective on Lin-Manuel Miranda's "Almost Like Praying," which spent a week on the Hot 100 last week, also at No. 20.
Cabello has charted higher only with "Bad Things," with Machine Gun Kelly, which hit No. 4 this February. (As a member of Fifth Harmony, she tallied two top 20 Hot 100 entries: "Worth It," featuring Kid Ink, a No. 12 hit in 2015, and last year's No. 4-peaking "Work From Home," featuring Ty Dolla $ign.) "Havana" could gain further on next week's Hot 100 (dated Nov. 11), as its official video arrived today. (The current streaming tracking week runs through Thursday, Oct. 26.) "New Rules," Dua Lipa
Below the top 20, two acts each earn their first top 40 Hot 100 hits, led by pop singer-songwriter Dua Lipa, whose "New Rules" lifts 44-38. The cut ranks at No. 27 on both Streaming Songs (13.7 million, up 3 percent) and Digital Song Sales (16,000, up 38 percent, aided by a 69-cent iTunes Store sale price). In her two prior Hot 100 appearances, Dua Lipa reached No. 72 with "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)," in November 2016, and No. 76 with her Martin Garrix-collab "Scared to Be Lonely," in May.
"Do Re Mi," Blackbear The hip-hop act rises 45-40 in his first Hot 100 visit. Powered most heavily by streams, the song bullets at No. 22 on Streaming Songs (16.4 million, up 2 percent). Blackbear (real name: Matthew Tyler Musto) is the third "bear"-monikered act ever to prowl in the Hot 100's top 40. The others who previously made the region their den: The Teddy Bears and Edward Bear. The former reigned for three weeks in December 1958 (the Hot 100's first year) with "To Know Him, Is to Love Him," while the latter hit a No. 3 high with "Last Song" in 1973. Until this week, no bear had been spotted in the top 40 since June 2, 1973, when Edward Bear's "Close Your Eyes" peaked at No. 37. (Blackbear could be drawn to the lyric in the song above "Do Re Mi," Sam Hunt's "Body Like a Back Road," at No. 39: "Got hips like honey, so thick and so sweet …")

It has been on one chart or another continuously for nearly three years. The 98 weeks at recurrent followed 56 weeks on the Hot 100. This song more than others is responsible for the current 52/25 recurrent rule. Without any recurrent rules in place, this song might still be in the top 100 today.

Thought it was established that it would've been pushed out by one of the album bombs last year, maybe the Drake one? Iirc it would've lasted 70-something weeks without the 25/52 rule.

You misread, he's saying if all recurrent rules didn't exist (including the 20 week one), then Uptown Funk would still be one of the top 100 songs in the country, probably around the 80s or 90s at this point.

I don't think this song would still be in the top 50 though. I still believe the top 25 recurrent rule was the wrong solution to the problem. The adjustment of streaming points was a much better course correction that still reflects popularity but allows songs to fall down the chart a bit quicker as well

As the 18th biggest recurrent song, it is likely around #70 or 80 overall, after three years and at the very least still in the top 100 without recurrent rules
