Thank everything that is holy that "Coalmine" got added!!!!! One of Sara's best songs, for sure. Also, maybe I'll surprise everyone and get my list in super early this time! Then again, maybe not.

Is that a corgi?!? I thought about getting me one whenever I relocate. Yes. It's one of my gf's favorite dogs and quickly becoming one of mine lol.

I'm a total cat person, but if I ever got a dog, corgis are one of the few breeds I could see myself getting.

I don't mind corgi dogs. But honestly as a whole I really don't like dogs whatsoever. I'm not that keen on dogs or really any animals.

Also disclaimer: I do like corgis. I just don't understand what makes them better than other types of dogs? I prefer medium-sized dogs though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Corgi's are overrated... I'm a little confused about your use of an apostrophe here... Therefore I do not understand the meaning of that sentence.

Giving some insight on some of the more unknown artists in this rankdown. First up is Rockie Lynne. Rockie Lynne (born Rockie Lynne Rash) only had one top 40 single at radio, the one we find in this rankdown ("Lipstick"). The guitar driven road song was released as Rockie's debut single for Universal South in October of 2005. It would not be until May of 2006 however that his only full-length album for Universal South Records came out. Other singles were "Do We Still" (#43 on R&R) and "More" (#48 on Billboard). His only other charting single was "I Can't Believe It's Me" from early 2008 (#49 on Billboard), which was released on New York City based label with a Nashville division, Robbins Nashville. He has since released music on his own Carolina Blue Sky Records. Rockie wasn't like most debut artists at radio when he came out. The North Carolina native was 40 years of age when "Lipstick" was sent to Country radio. He was also adopted. Many who met him on his radio tour were impressed by how down to earth and genuine he was. Rockie's downfall at radio was likely a combination of his age, along with artist competition when he came on the scene.

Forget the rankdown, let's make this a corgi thread! This reminds me of one of my dogs, who just loves to nuzzle and place his head in your lap (60-lb. mix of German Shepherd and Labrador Retriever; posted a pic of him when he was a pup over five years ago when I was looking healthier - i.e. slimmer - than I do now). Ok, now back to country music 2006... I became a senior in high school that year.

I seriously thought that was Jimmy Wayne for a bit (I really wish he would have stuck around in the mainstream).

"Lipstick" is really good, but "Super Country Cowboy" is what really captured my attention from Rockie Lynn. I went to see Emerson Drive live at some country festival and that song was played between acts and I instantly fell in love with it lol.

Rockie Lynne opened up for Carrie Underwood on her first headlining tour (while she was opening up for Brad Paisley). I sat front row at her show in Chattanooga and touched her hand at the end of the show and nearly died. 13 year old Zack had never been happier

Second artist in this rankdown I'm highlighting is Katrina Elam. The 33-year old Oklahoma native debuted in 2004 with "No End In Sight" off Universal South Records. The single went top 30 on both Billboard and R&R in late 2004 and she followed it up with the top 60 single, "I Want A Cowboy" in early 2005. After a hiatus she came back in the summer of 2006 with "Love Is", which would peak at #40 on Mediabase in the fall of 2006. After "Flat On The Floor" failed to crack the top 50 in 2007, she exited Universal South in 2008. Elam starred in the sequel to Pure Country, titles Pure Country 2: The Gift in 2010 and her song "Dream Big" was serviced to radio in 2011. She has stayed busy with writing. She co-wrote "Easy" by Rascal Flatts/Natasha Bedingfield, "Say Goodnight" by Eli Young Band and "Invisible" by Hunter Hayes. Elam's start in writing and singing started when she was a child and she eventually became home-schooled when she secured a publishing contract in high school. Elam's supreme vocal talent was her biggest draw but her writing is easily overlooked about her as an artist.
