#6. "Mary's Song (Oh My My My)"
Points: 263 Average: 7.48571 Standard Deviation: 4.15673 (2nd highest) Liner Notes: Sometimes love is forever
The elimination of "Mary's Song (Oh My My My)" means that "Cold As You" is our highest-ranked album track! This track was supposedly inspired Taylor's neighbors, isn't that sweet? The song narrates through the lives of two people who met as kids, got married, and lived together for the rest of their lives. Three #1s are lost here, which is the largest amount of #1s to get eliminated so far.

Can't believe "Cold as You" is the highest album track... but I can't really see it beating any of the remaining 4 singles, so I expect it's next anyway.
ETA Top 5 predictions:
1. Teardrops on My Guitar 2. Our Song 3. Tim McGraw 4. Should've Said No 5. Cold as You

Mmkay Cold as You has overstayed. Be next. Bye But Cold As You should really be gone by now... Can't believe "Cold as You" is the highest album track... but I can't really see it beating any of the remaining 4 singles, so I expect it's next anyway. .indulgecountry You're correct about #5! But the hate for "Cold As You" is unacceptable. #5. "Cold As You"
Points: 292 Average: 6.65714 Standard Deviation: 3.8983Liner Notes: Time to let goThe last album track remaining gets the cold shoulder here, and it becomes a battle of the singles from here on out! This is track #5 on the album, and some Swifties have noticed that track #5 of her albums often tends to be one of the standout ballads and/or slower songs on the album! "Cold As You" from her debut, the Grammy-winning "White Horse" from Fearless, "Dear John" from Speak Now, "All Too Well" from Red, and even "Delicate' from reputation! Now, "All You Had To Do Was Stay" from 1989 doesn't fit this trend since it's an uptempo song. Another three #1s are lost here as we head into the top 5. Only five #14 ranks are left now with someguy 's #14 leaving.

The Track 5 syndrome yesss. I personally think AYHTDWS fits the standards cause it's a sad song. It's not the lyrical masterpiece of the album like the former Track 5s but it kinda fits. I think "Delicate" was the biggest surprise in terms of the tempo and stuff. The lyrics fit cause it seems fragile and vulnerable but it's literally an upbeat song.
Anyways, P-P-P Perfect Ranking!
Remaining songs: #1, #2, #3 and #12. But I won't have the same top 3 as the Rankdown cause my #12 is probably winning this whole thing lol.

It doesn't help that AYHTDWS is one of my least favorite songs from 1989, but I guess it was just a huge turnaround in terms of tempo etc. from what I was expecting from a typical Taylor Swift album track #5.

But also, we should consider that '1989' didn't have any low-tempo songs. "This Love" was the closest to that and "Clean" was the low-to-mid tempo lyrical masterpiece.

Absolutely disgusted that "Cold As You" beat "Mary's Song". And "Our Song" but I expected y'all to have poor taste about that one. "Mary's Song" is one that I forgot how much I liked until I revisited the album. There aren't many redeemable qualities about this album but Taylor sounds fine on MS and was definitely one of the better lyrical moments on the album. "Cold As You" is boring and dull. No clue why y'all like that one so much...
Anyway, I'm gonna guess
4. Tim McGraw 3. Should've Said No 2. Our Song 1. Teardrops on My Guitar

Don't hate the song, but didn't expect it to be top 5 of the whole album. This. I like everything on the album, but I definitely expected at least 2 or 3 other album tracks to be above this one.

Remaining songs: #1, #2, #3 and #12. But I won't have the same top 3 as the Rankdown cause my #12 is probably winning this whole thing lol. You get your wish!! #4. "Our Song"
Points: 314 Average: 6.02857 Standard Deviation: 3.89495 Liner Notes: Live in love
Our final song to miss the top 3 is Taylor's very first #1 on country radio. It reigned for six weeks on country radio from the end of 2007 to the beginning of 2008, which still is her longest stay at #1 on country radio. This song was written for a talent show that she was in, about how she and her boyfriend didn't have "a song", which is the overarching theme of the song. It used to be my favorite song when I was first getting familiar with the album, but it's slipped all the way to #5 for me! That being said, I ADORE this song. 4 people loses a #1, a new record in this rankdown.

Tim McGraw sucks and should have been out ages ago.
Rooting for Should've Said No, but Teardrops On My Guitar would also be fine.

I like all the other three songs, so I don't actually have an opinion on which one wins.
Although: Should've Said No > Tim McGraw > Teardrops On My Guitar.

Great top 3! Its my 2-4 which is really the best I could ask for since I knew only singles would comprise her top 3! Pleasantly surprised "Our Song" is out already. Always been one of my least favorites from her and its just gotten more childish and lame the older I get. Also extremely bitter that it blocked "Stay" (one of the greatest songs of all time) from hitting #1.

Lol "Tim McGraw" is the single best song she's ever made in her career. Haters can kindly climb into bed and dry their tears with Swift's sparkly guitar. Stay salty.
