Y'all did Merle Haggard dirty! "If We Make It Through December" is great.
I love LeAnn Rimes but my gosh her "Carol Of The Bells" is HORRIBLE. I couldn't even make it all the way through.
I ADORE Barbara Mandrel, but "It Must Have Been The Mistletoe was not enjoyable for me on any level.
I also love Clint Black but really disliked that "Milk And Cookies" song lol.
I was happy with the other reveals as well. Didn't like any of them lol.

Brad done been robbed! And I agree with LBT...y'all did the Hag seriously dirty. Then there is Clint...as much as I detest Christmas music I've always found Clint's Christmas CD charming & fun.

- This was the first time I heard Leann's "Carol of the Bells" and I couldn't even make it through the entire song the first time before having to switch it off...it goes without saying that is the worst version I've ever heard.
- I really underranked "Bells Are Ringing" and should've included it in my top 20...I make sure to listen to that song every year.
- I love quirky Christmas songs like "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" although I'm partial to Kacey Musgraves' version
- "Born On Christmas Day" has grown on me since first listening to it for this rankdown; I'd likely place it higher now.

I can't speak for everyone, but I can't imagine any of us would be upset if this continues after Christmas as well! Just do what you can.

Many of these were expected for me, some that seem to be out too early or surprise me are Kacey, Darius, and Randy. Love the first two I mentioned and the third is certainly a classic.
I was thinking this morning how pleasantly surprised I was that The Carpenters were still in it! Ultimately they are out at #44, my lucky number!

I think "Candy Cane Christmas" is an excellent original Christmas song and Darius' vocals fit it well.

Playing catch up on sharing my thoughts of songs eliminated from 60 through 41:
The Angels Cried ~ Alan Jackson & Alison Krauss I love this song and as I mentioned before Alan's album Honky Tonk Christmas was probably the first artist Christmas album I ever listened to and I loved the entire thing. This song along with "There's A New Kid In Town" with Keith Whitley are my top 2 songs on that album.
It Must Have Been The Mistletoe (Our First Christmas) ~ Barbara Mandrell This has always been a favorite for me and seeing it go so early while not surprising did sadden me. I love this one and along with "Thank God For Kids" was on a cassette tape that my Mom had growing up that we listened to every single year. This is probably my 2nd favorite song from that album.
If We Make It Through December ~ Merle Haggard Prefer Alan Jackson's version because that is the first version I ever heard but I really love this song and Merle sounds great.
Mary, Did You Know? ~ Kenny Rogers Ft. Wynonna Something about Kenny Rogers voice just bores me usually. Occasionally there will be a song of his that I do like so I don't completely dislike it but Wynonna definitely shines the best on this and sounds amazing.
Carol of The Bells ~ LeAnn Rimes I want to like this more because LeAnn normally sounds great but something does feel off. I love the song though and ranked it a little higher than I should of based on that.
Bells Are Ringing ~ Mary Chapin Carpenter Why is this out so low! This has become a favorite of mine ever since I first heard it and is among my favorites. Definitely out to soon
'Til Santa's Gone (Milk and Cookies) ~ Clint Black just no. Sorry I have never been able to like this song. I do like Clint Black and I'm sure some of his other Christmas songs are good but this one is annoying to me.
I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas ~ Gretchen Wilson I have never liked this song and find it equally annoying to Clint Blacks song on here. Gretchen Wilson somehow saves it from being an instant shut off as I think her version is the best version of it I have ever heard
Born On Christmas Day I have tried liking this song for a while but just doesn't really work for me.
It's Christmas Time ~ Joey + Rory I definitely under-ranked this one. I really like them and always have but I've never rushed out to listen to their music for whatever reason and had never heard this one prior to this. It kinda slipped through the cracks early on but as I've listened to the playlist this would easily be a Top 20 for me it has grown into a favorite, probably my favorite discovery of this rankdown. Was really rooting for it to be Top 50 but the last few submissions pushed it out unfortunately.
Meet Me Under The Mistletoe ~ Randy Travis Really like this one and enjoy listening to it when it comes on but it has also always been one of those songs I just never went out of my way to hear. Am good with this placement
Winter Wonderland ~ Brooks & Dunn Something about this song just always seems to leave me with a meh feeling. Brooks & Dunn sound okay on this but this overstayed by a lot imo
Candy Cane Christmas ~ Darius Rucker Really like Darius' voice and this song isn't bad. Am good with this going here
What Are You Doing New Year's Eve? ~ Kacey Musgraves I do everything I can to avoid this dreary song. It just bores the life out of me. Even Lee Ann Womack has not been able to save this song for me and I pray that Martina never covers it. Just not a fan, this would be low on my rankings by anyone tbh. Kacey sounds fine on it but I really don't like this song
There's A New Kid In Town ~ Keith Whitley This song is among my favorites. I ranked it low because I am partial to the duet version with Alan Jackson that is on Alan's Honky Tonk Christmas album. That is my favorite song off of his Christmas song and the only reason I didn't inclulde it was to include the original version. Not a bad version at all though
It Wasn't His Child/Mary, Did You Know? ~ Julianne Hough & Phil Vassar This surprisingly worked really well for me. Am glad to see it out here because there are much better songs that have already left but I do like this song a lot and think both Julianne and Phil sound good together.
(There's No Place Like) Home For The Holidays ~ The Carpenters This is another song that I'm just not a fan of regardless of who sings it.
My Favorite Things ~ Lorrie Morgan I included this because it was on Lorrie Morgan's Christmas Album and is probably the one that gets the most play from it but I've never really seen this song as a Christmas song so it definitely overstayed even though Lorrie does a terrific job with it
Silver Bells ~ The Judds Silver Bells is among my all time favorite Christmas songs and this is the first version I ever heard and remains my favorite (with Martina a super close 2nd). Sad that this got tanked so badly because it deserved a lot better than this imo
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas ~ Little Big Town Like their rendition of this song. This song has never been a favorite and is always just there for me. However Little Big Town and Martina's versions are my top 2 favorite versions.
Before we hit the Top 30 we will see one more person lose a #1 plus only 5 songs remaining have no Top 10 ranks at all.

WOW you all did "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" by Little Big Town SO DIRTY!!! Seriously shocked this shit isn't top 10. I hope "Go Tell It On The Mountain" can fare WAY better but I thought that one would be out first. No clue how such a beautiful rendition of this song can be out so soon Only other one I'm upset about right now is The Julianne Hough/Phil Vassar duet. I had never heard it before but I LOVED it, and I'm not even a Julianne fan. But it was gorgeous and both artists rocked it. Also "My Favorite Things" is a favorite of mine, as The Sound of Music was my favorite musical growing up but Julie Andrews >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lorrie Morgan

LBT's version of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is good but it isn't in my top favorites of the song (Martina, Alan Jackson).

Wow. Three SHeDAISY top 40! My heart is full.
These reveals all made sense except Lorrie Morgan. I thought that was going Top 10.
