Kowboi, yes, I liked Let Me Go. Overall I felt it was an album that deserved much better success than it received. I look forward to her new album.
Utada’s Dirty Desire was a pretty cool discovery. I didn’t pay much attention to the lyrics, but the song melody, structure and production is pretty good.
I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but sometime during 2012, there was a sudden, massive musical shift in North America, and most musicians and styles of music that were popular in the 2000s were just thrown away all at once. Rock music bore the brunt of the shift too, including pop rock, which is how Avril Lavigne had far less success with her 2013 album, unfortunately. But even she detected the shift, since "Hello Kitty" has elements of dubstep in them. Anybody who knows me on this website knows how annoyed I am that rock music has been pushed off the stage altogether, at least here in North America ("alternative" these days is really just a more sophisticated style of pop, and not very rock-oriented at all).
