If "Gucci Gang" hits the Top 10, I'm pretty sure Lil Pump would be the first person younger than me to have a Top 10 hit. Zayion McCall was born July 17 1999 and Zay Hilfigerrr was born November 15 2000 so it's probably him. Both of them are a tie for the first two people younger than me to have a top 10 hit Edit: And also if we extend top 10 hit to top 11 hit then Willow Smith Whip My Hair would be the first one to do that

I'm actually surprised Ready for It isn't gaining faster, with LWYMMD falling fast you'd think radio would be in a rush to play new Taylor Swift.

I'm actually surprised Ready for It isn't gaining faster, with LWYMMD falling fast you'd think radio would be in a rush to play new Taylor Swift. IMO it's 2 things: 1. Since "RFI" already had so much exposure, there isn't the same need to jump on it. 2. "LWYMMD" killed a lot of the momentum she had. Having said those things, it's actually been a bit of a pattern the past few years for follow-up singles by huge artists to under-perform; see Adele ("When We Were Young"), Ed Sheeran ("Castle on the Hill"), Katy Perry ("Unconditionally"), etc.

LWYMMD was big for a couple weeks but faded pretty fast, so Ready for It shouldn't be having any trouble gaining unlike Adele, Ed or Katy. I mean, the song just got an official push last week, so it may take some time to gain. But I'd just thought it'd be shooting up the chart by now, maybe Swift will bounce back once she starts promoting this damn record.

I think she really doesn't care how this charts and will follow up with a monster promotion of the album/new single starting nov 10.

I really don't think releasing another song to radio so soon after Ready for It is a good idea, I think letting stations play promotional singles was a bad idea overall for this era. Taylor is kind of overexposed, she already has 3 songs in rotation (albeit, very little rotation), I don't see how dropping another song will help. I guess we'll see.

If she doesn't promote this and heavily promotes other track this will die, Look and Gorgeous are dead already. I feel like RFI is just to give a glimpse of the album and what's to come. But everything is pure speculation by now, we'll have to wait and see!

Don't necessarily see what's wrong with him being 17 that it's worth a facepalm. I mean, he's basically around the same age as Lorde was when she started becoming popular and she's good. Oh, and while we're on the topic of age, if Lil Pump enters the Top 10 next week, I believe that would make him the first person born in the 2000s to have a Top 10 hit, correct? Facepalm at people in their teens thinking they are getting too old and need a drink!!! MTE, I'm turning 30 in February, how do you think that makes me feel?

Here's my year end Hot 100 prediction figures for 1989! There were a lot of #1 songs in 1989. Songs climbed fast and then fell fast. Wow, so many awesome songs in that list!

I personally think releasing RFI to radio and the video were more of a "hey im still doing stuff before the 10th" sort of thing. It would make sense to release a single the day Reputation since there will inevitably be a ton of buzz surrounding her that day.

But don't worry, we in our early 30s are by no means very old either. I remember Celine Dion once said in an interview when she was 30 that that is the perfect age, because it's still young enough to have most of your life ahead of you, but not so young as to be stupid and make poor choices because you have some life experiences under your belt (sorry, I know I'm going off topic a bit lol)

I'm not a huge fan of the song, but it is cool to see a song start near the bottom of the chart and shoot up to #1 (assuming it gets there) in just a few weeks, which doesn't happen very often anymore, and spurred mainly by genuine, organic gains in popularity.

I find it odd That's What I Like dropped in airplay faster than Something Just Like This, especially since it was such a titan compared to the latter.

I really think I Fall Apart will have a fantastic time at Pop radio, especially since it's Post's most radio friendly song to date.
