Silver's Personal Urban Rankdown(Winner revealed!)

HELLO EVERYONE! So, after the absolute clusterfuck that was the J. Cole rankdown, I've decided to try another rankdown, with some of my favorite Hip-hop/R&B songs!(This will be hard for me to rank  ) 

Here's what I did; I shuffled the songs I was going to use into a spotify playlist, which will determine the reveal order of the songs. There will be 40 songs, and I will reveal 4 at a time. With that out of the way, who will win? Well, we don't know, but let's find out what songs will be in the rankdown

Song 1. This song is from a female R&B group that was popular in the 90s. This song was close to the top 20 in the 90s decade end Rankdown
Song 2. A song from one of our greatest rappers. This peaked 8 on the hot 100 in late 2005.
Song 3. Hypno, the Pokemon. That's all I'm saying 
Song 4. An early 90s song from an underrated rap group, peaking 6 on the hot 100, and one of the first rap songs to become a pop hit.

Song 5. A song from a very polarizing artist on Pulse. This song samples a Daft Punk song.
Song 6. A classic R&B song from a classic R&B artist. The title of the song has "4" and "U" in the title.
Song 7. This is a lesser know song from a lesser known artist, but it's from one of the best albums of all time. This song references New York. 
Song 8. A poppy R&B song from one of the biggest R&B singers of our time. This song made a remix, giving this song popularity in 2011.
