I honestly dont see this doing much, especially not bringing a much needed renewed interest...but its a nice change of pace..however, I probably would have gone with Gorgeous or Call It What You Want.

Should’ve been Getaway Car, but this is definitely the second best option. If getaway car gets released after this the atheists will be forced into hiding. K is getaway car isn’t released after this I’m going to be maddd... P E R F E C T I O N My reaction in most of these pop girls threads

??? People don’t call Chained to the Rhythm a flop (Nor Feels). Just underwhelming for a lead single and didn’t really carry forward any momentum. The Katy stans trying desperately to tie Taylor’s performance with Reputation to any of the depths experienced by Witness is so tired and obvious at this point. Like, Taylor underperforming is #10 on CHR. Swish Swish could only dream. Or disaster release/botched Ready For It hitting top 5. Or selling double in a week stateside than Witness has sold globally to date. This x100. While initially disagreeing, if we want to compare, it would be Born This Way, and even then, it’s a stretch.

The REAL danger for Swift is that there feels like a disconnect between the material and a group of people passionate about her music.
Does anyone know how her diehards feel about Reputation?
THAT’S the real indicator of any underperformance of Reputation; if it doesn’t connect with enough people that they stop staying invested.

I see a lot of TS posts on socials and they really do love it a lot. Some didn’t like LWYMMD, RFI, and End Game tho. I saw the most dislike for those. Everyone loves the other ones.

I think most of the Swifties like/love the album like myself. I don't think casuals liked the image/sound/video visuals. I stand by the album that it is excellent and worthy of praise. Most of these pop girls cannot put an album half as good as reputation.
I truly hope Delicate re-invigorates this era. It's a great, great song so I'm hoping it bounces back organically and radio doesn't ignore it. I'm still doubtful but hopeful.
I also just hope the music video isn't dark themed. She needs a bright, airy fun video this era.

I said it before, but I think the problem this era is that her core target audience (i.e. Age 14-26) have been turned off by her to the point that she's in constant memes. She's turned from the girl you have to love/root for into someone that people love to hate.
While I think the idea was pretty entertaining and buzz worthy, it was offputting to start off with something like LWYMMD. Would have been really interesting to see how something like Gorgeous or RFI or End Game would have fared as the first single instead.
*my opinion aside of course, because I absolutely love LWYMMD and the theme of this era

As someone who's considered themselves a Taylor Swift fan for at least a decade now (and think her first five albums are good to great), I think this album is her worst and it isn't good at all. But to the topic of "Delicate", well, wouldn't have been my choice, but it's decent. Would've preferred "Getaway Car", which I think is probably the best song on the album.

While initially disagreeing, if we want to compare, it would be Born This Way, and even then, it’s a stretch. I agree. Gaga managed to turn things around with BTW thanks to "The Edge of Glory" and "You and I." I don't see "Delicate" doing that for Taylor.

Around the TS places I go to online, A lot of them say it is not her best album but it is still great to listen to. As A Swift fan myself since the debut era,I don't think it is best work, I rank it #4 out of her 6 albums. But I do it find it to be a very enjoyable album although,5 months later,I still play the album a lot.

Hopefully this rejuvenates the era with the music video getting a premiere at the Heart Radio Music Awards on Sunday. I remember the Michael Jackson/Justin Timberlake song and Ariana Grande's song problem getting big bumps from the I Heart Radio music awards in the past.

Well, if there is one thing Taylor has greatly succeeded in this era it is keeping things secret. She has released four videos so far this era and bar some minor minor stuff for End Game and Look What You Made Me Do photos, no one has known anything (concrete) about the videos that Taylor doesn’t want everyone to know until she does (*confusing sentence*). Even the album release and first single release

Not excited about Joseph Kahn AGAIN. He's done some of the best music videos ever, and his collabs with her have been mostly great, but I feel like RFI and End Game (and to a lesser degree, Out of the Woods) were pretty bad and a different director could have done better. The execution was flawless in those cases, great production values and VFX, but there was no heart or creativity.

If this video is great and really connects with the audience I can see this song doing very good. Video + iHeartRadio premiere should be enough promo to get this started.
