Tbh, even though the Style video was a huge disappointment at the time, a video like that is probably what would suit this song the best.

The Style video doesn't match the song at all and it looks like an ad for True Detective if it were a fragrance but I don't hate it since it's so beautifully shot.
I would love an 80s-themed video for Delicate but I don't see that happening if they're going for something "grand" and "completely unexpected."

Style video was a disappointment period. Even though I like it, it could have been much better... it doesn't match that masterpiece of a song.

Watch "completely unexpected" be exactly what we expect.
Lots of dark blues and purples, some lightning somewhere, no real plot but it thinks it has a deep plot, etc.

I don't get why most fans trash Joseph Khan as if Taylor is not 100% involved in everything she does. He's actually a great director so if the video is another futuristic orgy, Taylor should be the one to be 'blamed' for sticking to that tired concept, not him. For all we know she could easily hire another director so they obviously have good chemistry and work well together.

If Taylor really wanted to revive the era, she'd do a big sitdown interview to discuss what happened to her, followed by a performance. I saw the coverage of trial firsthand here in Denver, which was before MeToo exploded, so I get why she's chosen to stay out of view. She wouldn’t dare to do interviews. She’s afraid of the Kanye/Kim questions. She would get questions like, why would you lie about the situation? You obviously knew the lyric before it got released. Do you do things like this all the time? How about a sincere apology to Kanye & Kim? Maybe they will forget you. |

My post was about the upcoming video's concept which means that whatever messy tweet he posted is irrelevant with what the video will look like and whose idea it was. |

This is how a LOT of Americans (and non-Americans) feel right now-we are angry. Look at the Parkland victims. They are ANGRY too, not wanting everyone to be nice and quiet because it would be more "sensitive." Like, I don't even get why that is being mentioned here as a sign of him being a bad guy unless we have a lot of NRA members upset that people want gun control...
Which maybe we do? I guess I don't know the political background of most of you.
Regardless, he has had more misses than hits for me lately and I wish she would work with someone new.

As for the videos - look what you made me do was phenomenal. I agree the song Delicate could probably use a more subtle director. In saying that I think one of the obstacles this song will have is that it’s a little alternative (which I love) but a big mainstream video might actually help its cause. I must agree with pancakes. One of my least favourites on the album. It definitely isn't bad but feels a bit boring. Anyway. Maybe the video will turn it around for me. We'll see.

He's an ass who would do anything to get attention from your normal Twitter Swifties (me included). But I don't think his beliefs are this crappy. He's obviously sarcastic / throwing shade at Trump 24/7 but the way he does it, it seems offensive and super problematic.
