I know Speak Now is coming, but I can't wait for Red and 1989. Those are the two gems and I love almost every song on those. Speak Now on the other hand... A lot of great stuff but also a lot of Zzzzzzz...

Thanks for participating! And predictably the next one in this series will be Speak Now, but I don't know when I'll open that due to me potentially hosting the 2017 non-US hits rankdown!

It was my #5 vs. my #6 so I was gonna be happy either way, but I definitely prefer "Love Story" so I am glad that one pulled off the win here.

YAY, the right song won!!!!! I have always loathed hearing "You Belong With Me" on the radio... But then when I was listening to it for this rankdown I realized that it is actually a pretty strong song, and definitely among the best from the album, so it ended up in my top 5. Still, it is overrated as a whole, so I am glad to see it did well, but it didn't absolutely trounce the rest of the competition. On the contrary, "Love Story" is a song that I have always really enjoyed. It is probably even my favorite out of Taylor's country singles. Having my #1 win a Taylor rankdown feels pretty awesome after my #1 went out in last place in the rankdown for her first album

Random side note: Does anybody else get super distracted by the way Taylor gasps for breath in the bridge of "You Belong With Me"?

Lmao I have always found it to be rather off-putting...  Like, if that is an intentional artistic choice, it is a terrible one. And if it is unintentional, that is even worse. I can't imagine any producer letting something like that slide unless it was intentional though. Maybe it's meant to give the song a dramatic effect. To me it just make it sound like the song is too hard for Taylor to sing with the current phrasing
