Wow... really surprised with "Well-Rested" being outside the Top10... it's one of my favorite vocal deliveries on the album! Such a great ballad.
I almost got a perfect ranking with "Pink Sunglasses". I love the song... Miranda really owns the sass in it!(love the little spoken parts in particular)

Just checking in to see if "To Learn Her" is still in and it is, so I'm good.
I'm so glad it beat out "Pink Sunglasses" which is an absolutely dreadful song.

"Well-Rested" is sent to an early grave as it leaves the rankdown now. Our Top 10 causalities continue to climb as we progress deeper into the album, with a total of 6 of us losing one from that department here. We find ourselves going back to scrubbing at least one individual's #24 rank, however, as this time someguy gets his turn. bboat11 correctly predicted earlier that this would be out soon, and he's right that the song is lethargic, but the vocal performance she turns in (with Lee Ann Womack-style wails in all the right places) over a simple production laden with delightful steel guitar makes up for it imo. It's a lyrically sparse song, especially compared to a lot of the other offerings on the album, but it is quite beautifully understated. "Like a caged bird barely set free Forgive me, I'm finding my wings"
What the sh*t? This song is so amazing. Some of you have a lot of explaining to do!

Why is Well-Rested out already?? It's an amazing song with great lyrics, instrumentation and especially vocal performance. I liked this song at first listen and it still remains one of my favourites.
For the Birds - another song that I like a lot. But unlike Well-Rested I didn't like this one immediately but instead, it took me a little while to get into it.
Also, why is my #24 still in? Now it's about time for it to be eliminated.

For the Birds is for the trash.
I cannot believe Pink Sunglasses is also out LOL. What is this? All the ones I like are being discarded before we are even halfway done.

Snuffed out at #15 is perhaps our most polarizing offering from the album. It brings down our first #1 loss of the game (sorry d3vin44 for being the unlucky one here), but it also pulls double-duty in cleaning out the final three #24 ranks still left in (mine, austin, and BackwoodsBarbie). Everyone seemed pretty split on this one: about half put it in the Top 10, and the other half put it in the bottom 5. Very few put it in the middle. "Smoking Jacket" is a calm and lightly produced tune about a gold digging woman looking for a wallet-capable male suitor. She seems to compare herself in the lyrics to a cigarette addiction in the sense that she's not good for him, but he'll be drawn to her anyway. It's an interesting song concept, but from my viewpoint, it's easily the most boring song on the album. "We go together just like nicotine and Chanel And when he lights up I'm his Lucky Strike Waiting for him to exhale"

My highest loss yet, this song is so cool sounding and I love how different it is lyrically.

That song should not be placed after Vice in the album. It pales even more when it is weak already.

I can definitely understand "Smoking Jacket" being disliked, but for me it worked. The melody is really understated yet catchy, and the lyrics are really cool. I love the overall dark vibe that the song portrays, and how it consistently keeps that mood for the entire song rather than only maintaining it for the verses or something.

Ugh! This was my favorite from the first time I heard it! I don’t see how anyone can find it boring. It is very catchy! I can see people being turned off by the message of the song though.

I'm happy that Smoking Jacket is out. It's just too dark sounding for my taste and it makes me feel uneasy + I had to stop every time when I was running to take my phone and skip this song. So yes I really don't like it.

After a few blows to The Nerve, we return to The Heart for our next elimination. In our first song to acquire less than 300 points, "Good Ol' Days" comes at the expense of my first Top 5 loss, but I'm not alone as bboat11 joins me. Passion seemed to be a little light for this one in either direction, as only two had it bottom 4 and most had it around the middle. The plucky instrumentation and melody of this song are just insatiable imo, and I love Miranda's delivery here and the layering of the vocals. It feels delightfully sunny and airy to me, and the lyrics convey delightful country charm. "The religious and the rest They've all tried their best Well I guess some things you just don't understand"

Looks like y'all forgot about "You Wouldn't Know Me" and left it just below the halfway point as it comes in here and number 13. Like the reveal before it, passion seemed to be low in either direction as only one person slotted this one in their Top 5 and two placed it in their bottom 4. Most of its ranks come just inside or just outside of the Top 10. One of the album's more upbeat/happier-sounding numbers, "You Wouldn't Know Me" features an enjoyable driving rhythm and singsongy melody, but it didn't seem to stand out a whole lot to most. "Stop sign, stop sign That's all she threw at me 'Til I don't feel like home no more"

"You Wouldn't Know Me" is my 2nd top 10 to go and my highest elimination so far so I'm doing okay, of course like in George Strait I probably just jinxed myself lol. I did like most of this album but this song definitely stood out to me. Not too upset to see it out though. Only hoping my 20 leaves before top 10 because I really wasn't a fan but I've seen a few people post positive things about it in the past so I expect to see it in the Top 10.

Don't know why but "You Wouldn't Know Me" always gives me this kind of 70s vibe that I really love... It's a song I love humming along to LOL
Surprised "Good Ol Days" didn't make top 10... It's probably one of the most accessible songs on the record (and because of that I think it could've done well as a radio single)

It's probably on the the most accessible songs on the records (and because of that I think it could've done well as a radio single) Same!

Friendly ties were severed as "We Should Be Friends" becomes (to the surprise of no one, I'm sure) the first of the album's three singles to exit, as it narrowly sneaks into the upper half of the rankdown. Some felt this song was a weak offering from Miranda and it shows in it being the first single departure, but only one person had it in their bottom 4. Most had this one just inside the Top 10 or in the mid-teens, with me losing another Top 5 (*tear*), as does Wavey✨️. With quirky quotable lyrics and a whimsical and catchy melody, this jam about embracing one's unique character traits feels like (to me, at least) a relative of "Heart Like Mine." It has my personal favorite lyrical moment of the entire record, which I highlighted below. "1...2...3... If you use alcohol as a sedative And bless your heart as a negative If you ride your white horse like the wind If what you see is what you get Well then, oh, we should be friends"
