Time for another reveal. Jo Dee Messina is an absolute must for this list. Her voice has always been a favorite. She has a few songs that I count among my all time favorites. Since a singles rankdown has been done for her none of her singles were chosen. Some of the songs I was stuck deciding between were: "Let It Go", "Even God Must Get The Blues", "You Were Just Here", "How Do You Get High", "Just Drive", and "Not Dead Yet" I went with "It Gets Better" because it really is an incredible song and easily among my favorites from her. This is quickly turning into my favorite rankdown ever. I literally have 3 songs vying for #1 right now, and there are still 32 reveals yet to come!

Just wondering... are all of these going to be album tracks? The Patty Loveless song is a single. They will just be songs that have not been previously featured in rankdowns. Edit: And by "single", I mean it was a top 5 hit! Editx2: But no, none of this was explained earlier in the rankdown or anything

Just wondering... are all of these going to be album tracks? The Patty Loveless song is a single. They will just be songs that have not been previously featured in rankdowns. Edit: And by "single", I mean it was a top 5 hit! correct here. Patty Loveless' "You Don't Even Know Who I Am" was a single in 1995. Mary Chapin Carpenter's "He Thinks He'll Keep Her" and Suzy Bogguss' "Hey Cinderella" were also singles. There are other singles to come but I am trying to include songs that have not been featured in any rankdown yet. Which is why there are so many album tracks. There are over 20 singles that will be a part of this that I have yet to include. I will say here that I have decided not to include Kacey Musgraves at all because while I like her; "Follow Your Arrow" and "Merry Go Round" are the only two songs I would want to include in this and as both have been in many different rankdowns before (and I believe both have won) I have decided not to include her at all. I have also decided to get rid of my rule of no current singles which allows me to use 2 current singles that I absolutely love so stay tuned to what those are.

Time for another reveal. Next up is Pam Tillis, another '90's artist that I'd like to do a singles rankdown for eventually (or participate in if someone else decides to do it!). Choosing her was never a question as I have absolutely loved her voice since I first became a fan of Country music. She has so many classics but she also has quite a few album tracks that deserve to be heard as well but ultimately I decided to choose a single from her that I have not seen show up in a rankdown yet. We all know you are doing '90s year-end charts, so I think it's pretty fair to assume that any of Pam Tillis' big hits might appear in your rankdowns (My point being that I do not feel like anything has been spoiled for me!)

If it's about me ranking Pam Tillis low, that's just because "I Said A Prayer" is mediocre Lol most of her other big hits will be top 5 contenders for me...

Time for another reveal. Kellie Pickler is someone that I have always liked but felt that she was better than her songs early on in her career. Remember her on Idol and I liked her during that. There are a few songs from her I could have chosen but it was easy for me to choose the song I chose because it is one of the strongest songs she has ever released. One more reveal for tonight... Tanya Tucker is another artist that had to be a part of this. Have always been a huge fan of her voice. This song was actually the first song I ever heard from her and easily ranks as one of my favorites from her. Let's see some more reveals! The first Female Country singer that I ever bought an album of was Deana Carter's Did I Shave My Legs For This. Absolutely love the first four singles off of that album a lot! However the album as a whole is really good and there is not a song on the album I dislike. One of my favorite songs from her is an album track from this album. That was my top choice for this. I thought long and hard about this because I tend to really like story songs and songs that bring about a lot of emotions. This leads to me liking ballads a lot more than upbeat songs (not always but a lot more than not). Had to choose some upbeat songs for this rankdown so it wasn't all depressing sad ballads. At the end of the day I stuck with my favorite from her first album. "Before We Ever Heard Goodbye" is an incredible song that was a favorite of mine back in 1997 when I bought the album and remains a favorite to this day! Let's see some more reveals! Plan on revealing 3 more after this one tonight! One of the artist I saw live this year that I have grown to like more and more since I saw her live. Maren Morris' album Hero is a great album and I really like a lot of the songs on the album. Have gone back and forth over what song to include. "Sugar", "Once", "Second Wind", and "Just Another Thing" are the ones I was looking at but ultimately I decided to choose "Just Another Thing" because I really enjoy this song. Let's see some more reveals! Plan on revealing 2 more after this one tonight! Another singer I saw live this year. Will be honest I had never payed any attention to Maggie Rose prior to seeing her open for Martina McBride and Lauren Alaina. She is incredible and if you have the opportunity to see her live, GO! I really love so many songs she has done and the three songs she sang in concert when I saw her; "Too Many Love Songs", "More Dreams Than Dollars", and "Love Me More" were all songs I was considering and was gonna choose "Love Me More" but decided at the last minute to switch it up to "Same Sky" which is another song from her that I really like! Love Maggie Rose. I'm bummed that she got Top 30 hits and then her label folded on her. She deserved to be a breakout star. Very unique and strong voice, and great music to go along with it. "Better" is one of my all-time faves.

Let's see some more reveals! Plan on revealing 1 more after this one tonight! Terri Clark is someone that is easily included on this list. She has so many songs that I absolutely love but choosing the one for this was a no brainer for me. "When Boy Meets Girl" was in this rankdown from the minute I started choosing what songs to include. Not because I don't like her other songs a lot because I do but this song has always been a favorite since I first got into country for some reason and so it had to be the one I chose for this. On my phone right now, but YAS! @ "When Boy Meets Girl". Expect my million woots in the morning.
I've been thinking about bugging Prime Country to play this outside of their weekly feature (Billboard's top 30 of a certain week for a certain year), but I'll wait until the Holidays are through.

Last reveal of the night! Amy Dalley has released so many great singles and yet she never was able to break through. "I Would Cry", "Men Don't Change", "Good Kind of Crazy", and "Let's Try Goodbye" are my favorites. Choosing one for this was easy, I went with her last single. Only reveal tonight but will have a few for tomorrow! No one should be surprised to see Reba McEntire being a part of this rankdown, she was a lock to be included. Now regarding what song to include, that was lot harder and I struggled with which song to include as she has so many incredible songs! Ultimately it came down "Starting Over Again" and "Maggie Creek Road". As much as I love "Starting Over Again" I decided against that one because it would be chosen for the same reason the Patty Loveless song "You Don't Even Know Who I Am" was chosen, both songs remind me of my parents divorce. so I went with "Maggie Creek Road" strictly because it is such a great song and the video that could have been! Should have been a single!!! Tags: (will add anyone who wants to be tagged) bboat11 someguy zaclord 🌈 Cody Wants Out... .indulgecountry

I don't know all of these songs on the list so far, but many of the ones I do know are excellent! I'll definitely participate in this one, it'll give me a chance to get familiar with some songs I don't know that well (or at all).

Here is the first reveal of the day Kellie Coffey had a hit song with "When You Lie Next To Me" in 2002. I was not a fan of that song when it first came out and thought she was boring. However someone actually bought me her CD for my birthday or something like that (really cannot remember but I know it was gifted to me). I listened to the album and my opinion changed big time. I like every song on that album and it was a favorite for a while. Really disappointed that she never had another hit after her second single "At The End of The Day" barely made it to the Top 20. It was without a doubt that she would be a part of this list for me because that album remains a favorite and I still enjoy every single song, including the first single that has grown on me a lot. Choosing a song for this was difficult and I went back and forth on what I wanted to include but ultimately decided to go with "I Just Knew" because it is a more upbeat and fun song from her that I think could have been a hit single had it been released.
