The George Michael Rankdown
Now that things are about to wind down with the Michael Jackson rankdown I want to start on this one.
We are rapidly approaching the one year anniversary of his death so I thought now would be an ideal time to start this rankdown.
I've decided to include the Wham! singles because, well let's be honest, they really are basically all George. I dropped two of his later singles to make the rankdown a nice even 50 songs. Those being "This Is Not Real Love" and his cover of "Let Her Down Easy."
Submissions for this rankdown will be due by January 27th. I will entertain extending the deadline if need be closer to that date...
A little about George if you are not that familiar with him (from Wikipedia):
Up to the time of his death, Michael sold more than 115 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. His breakthrough duo Wham! sold 28 million records between 1982 and 1986, and his debut solo album Faith sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. Michael achieved seven number one singles in the UK and eight number one songs on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, including "Careless Whisper" and "Praying for Time". He ranks among the best-selling British acts of all time, and in 2008, Michael was ranked 40th on Billboard's list of the Greatest Hot 100 Artists of All Time. I've followed him since Wake me up  Just yesterday I started playing with the Sing! app and had to do a couple of his songs Friendly advice: send more reminders especially when the deadline is approaching. I believe you could've had a few more participants in the MJ RD with 1-, 3-, 5-day reminders... and for this iconic artists it's good to see several participants |

count me in. George is my favorite Pop vocalist of all time. I'm glad you included Wham songs too. I thought "Let Her Down Easy" had become a big hit? Boy Am I behind on Pop.
It's still one of my favorites by him.
