20The Man The Killers
Peak: #3 Weeks On: 22
"The Man" was a great return from The Killers with it's disco vibe, and there's even a shout out to David Bowie here. Such a jam. Listen to me!

19Talk Bob Moses
Peak: #3 Weeks On: 23
So after loving the hell out of "Tearing Me Up", I decided to check Bob Moses' album, and to no surprise, I really liked it. The songs were very chill and laid back, and this song that I charted is no exception. Listen to me!

18Can I Sit Next to You Spoon
Peak: #3 Weeks On: 24
This year, Spoon released two of the catchiest singles of the year of indie rock. That's all I have to say for this one. Another jam! Listen to me!

17Do You Still Love Me? Ryan Adams
Peak: #1 Weeks On: 23
So I didn't really care for his cover of Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" (although it is much better than the original), but this is a great lead single to a pretty good album from him. This may even be better than "Gimme Something Good". The lyrics on this are heart-wrenching, although not on the level of some National songs. Listen to me!

16Ballad of the Dying Man Father John Misty
Peak: #1 Weeks On: 27
"Ballad of the Dying Man" was one of the best written songs of the year, bar none. And accompanying it is it's pretty and subtle folk instrumentation, and Josh Tillman's great vocal delivery. Don't miss this. Listen to me!

15call the police LCD Soundsystem
Peak: #1 Weeks On: 27
So, despite the lame album cover, James Murphy and company actually had a great comeback this year, with this being one of the best songs on the LP. The moment the opening guitar chords kick in, it hooks meinto the song. Easily one of my favorites of the year. Listen to me!

14Wish I Knew You The Revivalists
Peak: #5 Weeks On: 57
This is probably the best written song to crossover from alternative in a while. The lyrics are simple, but are relatable. Add to it a throwback sound and you get this sweet song. Listen to me!

13Thinking of a Place The War on Drugs
Peak: #1 Weeks On: 31
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think this is much better than "Holding On". Sure, the song is 11 minutes long, but the music is so interesting that it keeps me invested through it's length. There's especially a cool guitar solo after the first chorus. Listen to me!

12The Gold Manchester Orchestra
Peak: #1 Weeks On: 17 A Black Mile to the Surface is one of my favorite albums of the year, with Andy Hull pouring in a lot of emotion through his lyrics and vocal delivery. This and "The Alien" are two songs that exemplify that, in my opinion. The instrumentation is much more mellow compared to other Manchester Orchestra songs, but it's pretty enough. Listen to me!

11Let You Down Seether
Peak: #1 Weeks On: 23
Like Korn's The Serenity of Suffering just over a year ago, Seether's Poison the Parish was seen as a return to form for the band. I haven't listened to that album yet (maybe I should), but if this is an indicator, they certainly delivered here, as it sees Shaun Morgan crank the heaviness up to 11 and deliver a kickass song. Listen to me!

10Blame Bastille
Peak: #1 Weeks On: 25
Bastille's "Blame" is perhaps their most interesting song in a while. It's the first song I've heard from them to put emphasis on an electric-guitar driven riff and they delivered here. Listen to me!

9Little One Highly Suspect
Peak: #1 Weeks On: 29
Although both The Boy Who Died Wolf and How Did We Get So Dark were underwhelming albums for two similar and promising rock newcomers (Highly Suspect and Royal Blood), they still had their moments. Ever been through a breakup? Then maybe you'll relate to this song's lyrics. And although the music starts out quite slow, it's enjoyable, especially when it develops until the climax. Listen to me!

8Human Rag'n'Bone Man
Peak: #1 Weeks On: 24
Although this is a pretty simple song, Rory Graham's vocals deliver the lyrics with such passion. The instrumentation is pretty good too, especially with the use of the strings and piano. Listen to me!
