Too bad The Suburbs fell just short of the top 10. I think it was the first AF song I heard (or at least remember hearing), and was my favourite for a good while.

Was about to come in here and say that this was a "really solid top ten". No s***, it is. Wow. And I really like the 21 and may have underranked it.

18. The Well and the Lighthouse I actually found this one to be pretty alright. I like what they do with that last word of each verse. The chorus seems to be the weakest part, but the guitarworks make up for that.
17. In The Backseat This one seems to be about someone who died? Not the most uplifting theme. I like her vocals, but I need more than vocals to get me into a song. O.k the violins are beautiful. That's a another point.
16. Crown of Love This one didn't really work for me. I like the instruments. It sounds like they have a strings section at times. I just wish the songs had a bit more of a heartbeat?
15. We Exist This song is always entertaining, but it's still feels weird to watch Andrew Garfield in drag.
14. Suburban War This is one I really didn't care for.
13. Afterlife This one is superb. It has that 80's vibe I crave. Easily a top 5 song for me.
12. We Used To Wait Don't know where, but I've heard this one before? This one I dig. It has "Afterlife" vibes with the piano/synth keys.
11. The Suburbs More suburbs. What is it with this band and the "burbs"? This had some "saloon Piano" vibe I didn't like one bit.
4 songs I dug and 4 songs I didn't. An even split.

I only recall "Reflektor" from the top 10 list, but I'm pretty sure something else will pop up once I preview the others?

20. Half Light II (26): I do like it, and I may have under-ranked this one a bit. 19. Neighborhood #2 (10): Sounds more raw and rock while maintaining the melodic / orchestra elements. 18. The Well & The Lighthouse(6): This one was my favorite discovery and the winner amongst all Springsteen influenced tracks. It started in my 20s but kept creeping up with further listens. Wish it had been higher. 17. In the Backseat (15): YES! Happy to see it at this position! It took me 3 listens but then I got completely on board, haunted, and moved by Regine's raw, heartfelt, passionate vocals. Just like with My Body is a Cage, this is quite a powerful song. 16. Crown of Love (13): Another one that I ended up bumping up with each listen. Pretty, melodic, strong, dynamic, intricate, like a modern symphony 15. We Exist (8): I already own this one, as I really liked its 80s synth pop vibe when I first heard of it. I liked it even more after watching the video and paying more attention to the lyrics for this RD. Another song (like MBIAC) that I can see quite LGBT+ friendly. 14. Suburban War (17): Pretty good one, yet I liked others better 13. Afterlife (4): :( :'( This is an awesome track, poppy but at the same time nostalgic and complex, with an excellent vocal arrangement, and such a good throwback vibe that it's been a clear top 5 from the outset. Booooo!! 12. We Used to Wait (20): Pretty good, just felt it needed something else to be in my top 20. 11. The Suburbs (22): Idem. So far I have left 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 12, 23, 24, 28 I don't dislike my #28, though. Rooting for any of my top 5 to win.
