Time for another long ass post!
20. Half Light II (No Celebration) - I liked this one a good bit, but one of the more forgettable ones off of The Suburbs.
19. Neighborhood #2 (Laika) - not surprised this is the first Neighborhood out. It's good, but it's not 1 or 3.
18. The Well and the Lighthouse - honestly don't remember too much about this one, but it was good.
17. In the Backseat - Regine's vocals are beautiful on this one.
16. Crown of Love - another great one from Funeral.
15. We Exist - this one had a cool music video. Nice funky song.
14. Suburban War - one of my favorites from The Suburbs. Such great guitar in this one.
13. Afterlife - This grew to be one of my favorites from Reflektor. Just overall a damn good song.
12. We Used to Wait - I think this is the first Arcade Fire song I ever heard, awesome song with catchy piano.
11. The Suburbs - damn, I thought this was a lock for the top 5. Such a great song, super catchy, lots of emotion with a cool piano lead.
10. Keep the Car Running - one of the weaker singles from Neon Bible, but it's still great.
9. Rebellion (Lies) - like KTCR, one of the weaker singles from Funeral, but it's still great.
8. Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) - love the vocals on this one, cool electronic instrumentation.
7. Reflektor - I remember this was my favorite song when it first came out. Didn't age amazingly, but it's still great. Love David Bowie's influence on the track.
6. Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels) - this was a first listen and it was my number one. Fantastic song, so much emotion in Win's voice, and the instrumentation is great. Everything about this is just an overall awesome indie rock song.
5. Intervention - one of my favorites from Neon Bible.
4. Ready to Start - some of the most energy I've heard in an AF song, that guitar lead is infectious.
3. No Cars Go - this was also a first listen, and it was my number 2. The chord changes here gave me chills, they were so good. Incredible song.
2. Neighborhood #3 (Power Out) - expected this to win, honestly. THE most energy I've heard in an AF track. So bombastic and arena filling, amazing song.
1. Wake Up - this was almost my number one at one point. The chorus is euphoric, almost feels like a rush of serotonin. Such an uplifting feeling. Deserved winner.
Great rankdown,
Daryl the Beryl! This got me a lot more into Arcade Fire :)
