ONE DAY REMAINING. Please let me know if you're still planning to submit, because if no one else is, I'll just close up submissions tonight and start reveals tonight.

Since it looks like no one else is planning on submitting, I'll now be closing submissions. Reveals will begin later tonight. While you wait, here are some questions to ponder: 1. Which song do you think will win it all? 2. Which song do you think will lose it all, finishing at 50? 3. Which songs do you think will be sources of high standard deviations? 4. Which songs do you think will be sources of low standard deviations? 5. How well do you think your number one will do? 6. Predict the top 10, if you care to.

1. Which song do you think will win it all? This was a really tough rankdown, so I could see it going a number of ways. Safest bet to win this looks to be "All Apologies", because it has done well in the past, but I could easily see it being something like "Starman" or "Epic" or "Mayonaise" or a host of other songs.
2. Which song do you think will lose it all, finishing at 50? I feel like it could be one of my bottom two. 49 seems like a safer bet, because they've finished last in a RD before.
3. Which songs do you think will be sources of high standard deviations? If my bottom two are not low, they will have high SDs, guaranteed. I could see Fall of Troy having a high SD, or Dream Theater, or especially Sigur Ros. There's actually quite a few candidates.
4. Which songs do you think will be sources of low standard deviations? This is harder to guess. Maybe "All Apologies" at the top. Could be a more unassuming song, like "The Way That He Sings". Not sure about this one.
5. How well do you think your number one will do? I hope it will be top ten, but I'm not 100% counting on it. I feel like top 20 is a safe assumption, though.
6. Predict the top 10, if you care to. This is going to be 100% wrong, but here goes nothing...
1) All Apologies 2) Mayonaise 3) Starman 4) Man in the Box 5) Epic 6) Across the Sea 7) Somebody to Love 8) Shake It Out 9) Strawberry Fields Forever 10) You Won't Know

Only one I feel any confidence answering is what's last place. It's probably Domo23

It's time to begin reveals.
#50 is a song that stayed in the bottom 5 for the entire ranking process. It has remained #50 for the past 6 lists. It doesn't boast a very high or low standard deviation, though. Six bottom 10's go out here, though surprisingly, no one ranked this at 50. One unlucky poster already loses a top 10 with this song.

CCR has plenty of good songs, but for some reason, that whole album has never clicked with me.
EDIT: Oh, aside from Fortunate Son and Effigy of course

Alright, #49 boasts the second lowest standard deviation of the rankdown. Only one person ranked this in their top 20, and it only had 5 bottom 10 rankings. What doomed this though? The middle rankings.

CCR dead last...I don't think there could have been a better way of showcasing how tough this rankdown was than that.

Cotton Fields was a pretty good song but it still wasn’t really my thing. I’m fine with it being out first.

#48 brings us two top 20's, one being a top *10*. It also has 8 bottom 10 rankings, one being our first #50 of the game. This song had a pretty average SD, and it settled into the bottom 5 nicely towards the latter half of the game.

#47 is a big one. We only lose one top 10, but we lose 6 bottom 10, 5 of which are #50's. Surprisingly, this song doesn't have a very high standard deviation.

#46 was actually tied with Domo23, but I gave this one the edge because of all of those 50's. This song has the 8th lowest standard deviation in the game. Two top 20's go out, and 6 bottom 10's go out, including another #50.

I ranked this at 24, but I would never, ever rank it this low in a normal rankdown. It would be top ten most of the time.

#45 brings us our 4th lowest standard deviation. NO top 20's for this song, and only 5 bottom 10 rank's. Obviously, what doomed this song was the middle rankings. This song never left the bottom 10.

Since #45 was our 4th lowest SD, it makes sense that #44 should be our 3rd lowest, right? Only one top 20 is lost here, and only 3 bottom 10's go down. This song was really only a bottom 10 contender near the second half of the rankdown.
