EDIT: Changed the date in the thread title from "1/6/2018" to "1/3/2018" in response to recent changes to Billboard issue dates.
Chart date change: Interesting. They made that one change in 2015 after albums were shifted to Friday, but this seems like a fascinating change.
@simm's predictions: Let's make sure Gummo keeps dropping, because we don't want that anywhere near the Top 10!!! (And of course I just jinxed it.) Would be really cool to see New Rules make Top 10, too.

^Regarding the chart date change, I remember last time they did that for albums. It ended up giving the Top Rap Album for Meek Mill's album, beating out the better performing ones from Kendrick and Drake. But given that the tracking weeks aren't going to change this time around, I don't foresee that being an issue.
One thing that does come to mind is whether that means that the 2018 Billboard chart year will end up having 53 weeks due to the three weeks being squeezed in two calendar weeks. My guess it will, unless the decided to change the current December to November chart year.

Wonder how long it's gonna take Taylor to realize that people want end game more than Ready for it. Also hopefully the new rule starts soon, I can't stomach two 6ix9ine tracks in the top 50

People want "End Game"? It's probably one of my least favorite songs. xD Is it just cos of the collaborations? Cos "I Did Something Bad" would be much better as the third single IMO. My other favorites include "Don't Blame Me", "Getaway Car", "King of My Heart" and "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things", but I can't imagine some of those being put out as singles.

Lol here you go again seeing your personal opinion as representing more than just you. Based on sales and airplay, "End Game" is the album track doing the best. It could be because of Ed, it could be for other reasons, but it does seem to make the most sense as the next official single.

And I adored her from that moment on and idolized her." - Christina Aguilera "I think ['Vision Of Love'] was a vision of the future world of American Idol." - Rich Juzwiak, Slant

While we're on the subject, while I hate the fact that 6ix9ine is getting popular, I wouldn't even say he has the worst song in the Billboard Top 40 right now. I can think of a few songs currently in the Top 40 even worse than "Gummo" like "Thunder", "I Fall Apart", "Meant to Be", "Wolves", "...Ready for It?", and "Let You Down".

Man, 2018 is not looking good for the charts.
I'm the exact opposite, I love all those songs and 2018 is looking pretty good so far.
on Earth. Sorry but if a song's production physically hurts my ears, then it's trash.
