I still am dumbfounded why they didn't align airplay tracking with sales and streaming. Something to do with sales and streaming needing to have a buffer period to collect all of the data versus airplay being immediately available, and Billboard wants their charts to use the most up-to-date data available. Far be it for me to understand why airplay is readily available, but sales and streaming are not. Shouldn't they be? As far as I can tell, all outlets have their data ready next day like airplay. YouTube may be part of the issue. Their data seems to have more issues and also doesn't get posted as quickly as Spotify. |

I wish we had access to holiday airplay - I'd be curious to see the Top 50 songs and whether any songs are getting significantly higher (or lower) than usual play. I wonder if we'll see any other returns to H100.

Sorry if this question is a little outdated and pertaining to last week's chart, but I noticed a lot of funny things happened with Ready For It. First of all, it made a huge drop on radio, 18-40 (I smell payola again), and streaming must have dropped a bit as well given it's the second week the album has been on streaming, but the song rose 43-37 on the Hot 100. This must have been do to its re-entry on Digital Songs at #14, but why was it absent last week on Digital Songs and why did it re-enter SO high? Did they have it album-only in order to maximize both album sales and streams?

I put New Rules at #3 in my WORST list, while Gummo at #6, The difference is that New Rules is a mass disappoinment, also Dua's vocals are not on point or range, and the topic is HOT GARBAGE. While Gummo cannot be a disappoinment because all of 6ix9ine's music is HOT GARBAGE, also the topic is expected, and same can be said about his voice.

Both LOVE. and The Weekend just got new videos, expect some last minute increases. i would rate the music videos 9/10 for love. and 7/10 for The Weekend. (SZA looks cute) right now, LOVE. has 470k views, if you do the math, at the end of the tracking week it would have about 2.25m (margin -10%) The Weekend has 170k views, end of the tracking week it woul have about 1m views. (margin -15%) |
