Pies Descalzos is the third and major-label debut album from Colombian singer and songwriter Shakira, which was released on October 6, 1995. The album, which was written by Shakira and Luis Fernando Ochoa, spawned six singles: "Estoy Aquí", "¿Dónde Estás Corazón?", "Pies Descalzos, Sueños Blancos", "Un Poco de Amor", "Antología" and "Se Quiere, Se Mata". "Un Poco de Amor" features uncredited vocals by Howard Glasford and a music video of "Antología" wasn't released.

I love most of the singles but something about this album turns me off. I suppose it’s the production; the world influence on its follow-up made a world of a difference (sorry) and ultimately Pies Descalzos just doesn’t bring up the nostalgia for me that her others do.

Estoy Aquí remains a gem. The rest of the album hasn't aged as well, mostly, as said before, because the production sounds really dated.

I like some of the singles, but her later albums were far better. This one just fall flat to me.

This album will live in infamy as one of the breakthrough albums of Rock en Espanol in the 90's.
This album holds a special place in my heart. Yeah, it's dated now, but the impact it made is iconic.

Very special album for me. I had just moved to the U.S. and at a store in Miami they started playing the video for Estoy Aquí. Who is this girl??!?! I fell in love with the song instantly. Then came the album and fell in love too with the whole thing. To this day I know the lyrics of it all, every song. It brings so so many memories to me.
