"Shape Of You" was always mediocre to me. And dated. Meh.

Even though he's doing the Super Bowl, I wouldn't count on Justin releasing anything. He has a knack for completely missing opportunities and releasing something when he's hot, hence Can't Stop the Feeling and his 4-7 year gaps between albums. Justin's aware when he's nearing the point of overexposure and understands the importance of being missed. It's just been officially confirmed that his new single will be released next week.

One would think they'd start scaling it back in favor of Perfect.

One would think they'd start scaling it back in favor of Perfect. It's not so much that as it is that AC is coming back from 24/7 Christmas music and switching over to year end countdowns as well. In fact, over on AC, Shape of You is #4 and Perfect is #6. Last week they were #7 and #10 respectively.

Does that really fully explain why SOY has double Perfect's bullet though?

^ Me too. It's one of those songs I hear on the radio, that even though I've heard it a billion times, I most likely won't change the station. From the very beginning, the beat is just so infectious.

Today rockstar broke the record for most days at #1 on US spotify and ties OD and Despacito as the longest-running song on the global chart.

We all know sales are on the way out. That is no surprise. Certain events or holidays can cause spikes, but sales will be fairly meaningless within a year or two.
I would love numbers on how many people stream in some form on a fairly regular basis.

do the new streaming weighting rules come into effect for this issue or the next issue? billboard was being quite ambiguous with what "2018 year" meant in that article. 2018 CY or actual 2018 year?
