I am one minute into So Hott and already laughing. I never want to hear Kid Rock make those noises. If this doesn't land #100 on the rankdown I will be surprised.

My god was this painful. But in the best way possible as I was continually conflicted by what do with so many great songs. I decided it was best to just go with my first instinct, send my list off and never look at that PM again or I'd be here for another month moving things around here and there. 2007 seriously kicked ass.
Kid Rock for #100 please.

Ballot Update #1
Starring: janinho , @carseatlegrest , peacebone Hellloooooooo and welcome to our first ballot update for 2007 Alt! As it says above, our first three stars are going to be janinho , @carseatlegrest , peacebone ! (don't worry Albie, you'll be in the next one!) This is my first ballot update I have ever done, so bare with me here.
- At the tippy top, we have had a new #1 through all of the lists thus far. All songs that have hit the #1 spot are currently in the Top 10, so there seems to be love for most of them. The current #1 has a bit of a lead above #2, but the rankdown is still young and there should continue to be a lot of turnover, as the whole Top 10 is relatively close together.
- Only three songs have been in every Top 10 at this point, and two of those songs have hit the top spot (one being the current #1).
- Points wise, our Top 10 is almost all above the 300-point threshold at this point. Our 7, 8, 9, and 10 are below 300 points, but they should all hit that mark with the next list that comes in.
- We've watched some tankers come in for songs that should be doing better than they would be. There are three specific songs I am thinking about that got tanked by some people in the starring roles. There is one other song that was in the first Top 10, but has since been pushed out of the Top 50.
- Let's move on down to look at the loser's circle!
- The current bottom 10 is nothing too out of the ordinary, but I will admit that two of the songs in there might be a bit higher on my list, so I'm a bit surprised at the hate for them so far.
- Our #100 has started off very slow. It's in such a big hole right now, I think it may stick around through each ballot updates as #100. It is already over 30 points behind #99.
- Looking at the bottom 10 in terms of points, two songs have passed 100 points, but the other songs have not hit that mark. Our bottom 2 is currently below 50 points.
- On the standard deviation side of things, our highest and lowest standard deviations are both in the bottom 10 – our highest is at #91, while our lowest is our poor lucked #100.
- On terms of surprises, nothing has surprised me just yet. That'll likely change by the time we hit our next ballot update though.

...wait, am I missing something? Oh, yeah!
- WHAT WOULD A BALLOT UPDATE BE WITHOUT PULSE'S FAVORITE PART OF THE BALLOT UPDATE!?!?!?!?
We currently have a multitude of ties, as it should be expected with our first ballot update. We currently see ties at #35, #45, #55 (what a trend), #58, #78, #84, #92, plus a four-way tie at #31.

Submitted. Plenty of songs I loved, and I only hated like, three songs in this RD. Better than 2017. On the other hand, So Hott will be #100. I can't imagine who'd have this garbage in their top 50, not even Kid Rock fans, or ones who rank them in their top 50 on these things..  |

I'm pretty sure you guys wouldn't know half the songs I charted in 2007, and to be perfectly honest, I only know of 50 songs from that top 100 list, so this is basically a lot of new music to me. I might know more songs that charted on Active tho.?

Just submitted my list. It's weird, I like just about everything here, I think only 93-100 I gave less than 6's. But like the gap between my top 10 and everything else is pretty big, like some of my favorite songs of all time here (and my #1 is my favorite song ever, I imagine it will do decently, or at least hope it does)

Ballot Update #2
Starring: Albie , Willow Rinadoobee Breakfast , wheatsquares33 Helllooooooo and welcome to our second Ballot Update! This time we see three new people in the starring roles in albie, Crap, and wheatsquares33. We have plenty of changes to come, so sit back and enjoy the update!
- Starting things off at #1, we have our first song to spend two lists at #1. Everyone had changed it leading into wheatsquares' list, who kept the #1 in place for our first time. So far, our #1 is the only song above the 600-point threshold.
- Our Top 10 is not the same as it was in the last ballot update, as you would expect, but five of the songs in the last Top 10 are in this current one.
- One song in the Top 10, our #7, has been taking quite the ride already. It had dipped all the way low as #70, but was shown a lot of love with these lists.
- Our current Top 10 is all in the 500 point range, as is our #11 – beyond that we go a little bit lower.
- The Top 10 in terms of points is kind of in tiers – 1 and 2 are close to each other, 3 is on its own, 4-5 are close, 6-7 are sort of close, and 8-10 are really close (with #11 right behind).
- Only one song has been in every Top 10 thus far, and it currently sits at #5.
- Oh, how is our #1 from the last ballot update doing you ask? Well, it's taken a tumble. These three lists have all dropped that song, and it is now out of the Top 15. I do expect it to recover though.
- Let us move down to our bottom 10.
- Nearly every song that was in the bottom 10 last update is in the bottom 10 still – only two songs were able to escape the bottom 10 and get replaced by two songs who were already close to the bottom 10.
- Our bottom 3 has been pretty slow out of the gate, and I'd be shocked if they ended up changing when all was said and done. They are the only songs that are below 100 points at this point.
- #100 continues to fall further behind, as #99 is starting to develop a monumental lead over it.
- Moving over to standard deviations, our lowest standard deviation remains the same as the last ballot update, but our highest standard deviation has changed. The song in question currently sits at #18.
- As far as surprises, I am seeing actually quite a couple songs that are doing very well that I was unsure about in the beginning – for better or worse.
- On the poor side of things, there is one song in particular that I am looking at. It has one of the highest standard deviations thus far, and a song I considered to be a potential Top 10 contender – it sits below the Top 50 right now. Yikes.
It's time for everyone's favorite part of the ballot update!
We are currently seeing ties #18, #23, #42, a three-way tie at #63, #76, #79, #83, and #93.

Triple post, but I just submitted and while I'd say although the highs aren't as great as 2008, (mostly because that year had Radiohead, MGMT and Vampire Weekend - yes I know) it was a more consistent year overall. There were songs I liked in my bottom 10, with the only songs I have no use for being my bottom 4.

It's in my bottom 10 although I don't hate it, which is a testament to the strength of this list. |

- Starting off at #1, our #1 has stayed the same as the last ballot update – it has been #1 for five straight lists.
- Our #1 isn't insanely ahead or anything, but #2 is a decent bit behind. Actually, our Top 3 is pretty far ahead so far. Still, it's early and anything can change.
- The Top 10 has been pretty consistent in terms of what songs are in. Only two new songs came into the Top 10 that weren't in it last update – though, all
ten songs had been in it before this update. #predictable
- Some songs got some much needed boosts, and some songs got some much needed boots.
- Going down to the bottom 10, things are not changing all that much. Only one song enters the bottom 10, and it wasn't in any previous bottom 10.
- #100 has stayed the same throughout, but we do have a new song at #99, as the previous #98 and #99 switched places.
- Both our highest and lowest standard deviations have changed from the last time: our highest is at #64, while our lowest is at #40.
- Moving onto points, our Top 3 have all crossed the 800 point mark. The rest of the Top 10 is above 700, plus a few more after that.
- A new song has entered the laughable circle at the bottom. Before, our bottom 3 was far away from the rest, but our #97 is getting close to them.
- Our #98 and #99 have now surpassed the 100-point mark, as now only our #100 has yet to pass that mark...it's got awhile to go.
It's time for everyone's favorite part of the ballot update!
Our ties are starting to dwindle down, but we still have them! We see only ties at #31, #33, and #57 this time. Sorry folks.

Regarding So Hott, I just listened to it for the first time and surprise surprise, it sucks. Should be a lock for bottom 10, maybe bottom 5, on my list. However what I wasn't expecting was for it to be bad in such a mundane way. It's basically Kid Rock phoning in a cock rock song, and while the lyrics are pretty bad, they're nothing compared to say...Too Drunk. I also wasn't expecting to be so catchy though, as after one listen it's stuck in my head >.<
You know say what you will about alt these days, but imo cock rock like this going top 15 regularly (and to a lesser extent, generic post grunge going top 5 regularly) is way more of an issue then having some poppy dance songs chart on the bottom half. Although that doesn't mean I fully approve of that either, and when those songs actually do well...oh boy. In terms of alternativeness, Sober Up is basically the Believe of 2018 imo (although hopefully it won't hit #1 like Believe did ).
