Hi all! Sorry for the lack of communication on my end lately – I have been insanely busy the past couple of days, so Pulse has been on the backburner for me. I'm done with ballot updates, but I have received three lists from rockmandattebayo , Az Paynter , and Who The Hell Is Leo?✔ ! Submissions are still technically due tonight, but I won't be revealing until tomorrow night. Important: if you have a list to send, but won't be able to send it until tomorrow, please send me a PM by 9:00 PM CST TONIGHT saying that you will send me a list tomorrow. I want to gauge on who I am waiting for, and I am going to close submissions earlier tomorrow – I will not accept your list if you don't shoot me the PM. I need my time to make reveal posts and such, so I am not waiting on you. Sorry. Another message will be sent out tomorrow afternoon with the final participants list (and order), questions, and that will be the official closing time. Again, I am not waiting for you to finish because you procrastinated this long. |

I'm feeling very ill today. I hope this isn't the Ultra Mega Flu From Hell. I just took some medicine, and now it's making me drowsy, so I need to lay down for a while. I have my list halfway done, but I think I'll need until about midnight-ish Eastern time to finish. I hope that's OK.

So Hott (#100), Soulcrusher, Freak on a Leash (Unplugged), Famous, Ladies and Gentlemen, Hump de Bump, Pain (maybe), Working Class Hero
3. What songs will have the highest standard deviation?
The Tool songs, Pain, all the pop crossovers as usual, Teenagers, there's a chance Jesus Christ may join them

Icky Thump. It will still do well but not at the position I want. Same for both Nine Inch Nails songs.

1. What songs do you think will be in the top ten?
I've said all along that three songs would surprise me if they didn't make the top ten. Those are "Welcome to the Black Parade", "Prayer of the Refugee", and "Starlight". Even with the massive number of entrants (and more potential tankers), I think those three are still safe. After that, it's a crapshoot. Incubus might be the best bet to make it otherwise, with "Dig", with "Anna Molly", or perhaps even both. You can never count out the Foos, even if I think there could be lower rankings than normal for "The Pretender" just because of Foos overload. Paramore could sneak in there, as much as some of you don't want that to happen. "Lazy Eye" might make it, but the length (and perhaps SSPU overload) could be its downfall. "What I've Done", maybe? This is a REALLY tough rankdown.
2. What songs do you think will be in the bottom ten?
"So Hott" is a guarantee. "Freak on a Leash (Unplugged)" will be there, too, and I think so will Buckcherry and Saliva. Korn could double up. I think "Soulcrusher" could end up here and wind up doing better in the Active RD.
3. What songs will have the highest standard deviation?
Both Tool songs, ESPECIALLY "Jambi". Probably "Rehab", too.
4. What songs will have the lowest standard deviation?
Something like "Wish upon a Dog Star" or perhaps "No Control"? It's always something unassuming.
5. What songs do you think will surprise?
I could see "Typical" doing a lot better than some might be anticipating. I'm also hoping that CWK will do really well, though I'm not holding my breath there.
6. What songs do you think will underperform?
"The Pretender" won't be #1, that I'm sure of. I think "Famous Last Words" won't be that high, either.
7. What artists with multiple songs will do well?
I'm always rooting for Muse to do well, and I think they will do well again, but Incubus might do the best of those with multiple songs in this RD. Even though I think FLW will disappoint, MCR will likely do well, too.
8. What artists with multiple songs will flop?
It pains me to say it...but I think Tool isn't going to do as well as I'm hoping they will. They'll still be high, so they're not going to "flop", but I think they'll be lucky to get one song in the top ten, let alone both of them. More accurately, though, Korn might have both of their songs in the bottom ten. I really hope not in the case of one of them, but it certainly could happen.

I don't expect Jambi to be very high. I'm sure it's gonna have a #33 reveal and piss a lot of people off. The Pot though... I'm predicting that will have the most #1's.

Ah, we are finally here. Who is ready for one of the greatest lists we've had on Alt so far hosted by yours truly? Let's talk...about #100. Now, I know what you're thinking...and you might have been fed some wrong information. #100...has no #100s. Twenty people ranked this in their bottom 10, with plenty of people giving this the #99 treatment. Six people ranked this in the top half of their list, with someone reaching into grab a Top 20 here. On the growth side, this didn't hit #100 till late. The support just wasn't there in the back-end, while the #100 before it had gotten some key support to help move it along. It hit #100 starting at list #21. |

I'm disappointed, I genuinely am. Kid Rock has been an idol to me for years. His lyricism trumps all the other artists on this rankdown. The fact that so many people ranked it at 100 shows that people don't know good music. So Hott is a lyrical masterpiece and you guys are just not smart enough to understand it. Shame on all of you
