working on posting an Album Highlight next but while I finish typing that up I'll give a hint to the #24 song!
One of the 3 albums that has yet to lose a single will fall next! Only 1 person will lose a Top 10 while no one will lose a Bottom 10! Lowest ranking this song received was a #44. I liked this song enough to rank it at #14 and I definitely think it is leaving too soon

Track listing1 ~ "Blue Side of Town" (Hank DeVito, Paul Kennerley) 2 ~ "I Won't Gamble with Your Love" (Gary Scruggs, Kevin Welch) 3 ~ "Go On" (Patty Loveless, Roger Murrah) 4 ~ "If You Think" (Kostas) 5 ~ "Chains" (Hal Bynum, Bud Reneau) 6 ~ "Don't Toss Us Away" (Bryan MacLean) 7 ~ "The Lonely Side of Love" (Kostas) 8 ~ "I'll Never Grow Tired of You" (Carter Stanley) 9 ~ "Timber, I'm Falling in Love" (Kostas) 10 ~ "I'm on Your Side" (Jimbeau Hinson, Kim Tribble) PLACEMENTS: "Timber, I'm Falling In Love" - TBA "Chains" - TBA "The Lonely Side of Love" - #33 "Blue Side of Town" - #38 "Don't Toss Us Away" - #50 Near the end of 1988 Patty would release "Blue Side of Town" as the lead single from her 3rd album. This song would go all the way to #4. The album was released in October of 1988 and peaked at #7 on the Country Album charts. The second single "Don't Toss Us Away" would become her 3rd straight Top 5 hit, peaking at #5! It was her 3rd single, "Timber, I'm Falling In Love", that would give her what would become her first #1 hit! The fourth single released was "The Lonely Side of Love" and that song would be the only one from the album to miss the Top 5, just barely, when it peaked at #6. She would release a 5th single and it would become her second #1 hit, this single was "Chains". Tony Brown produced this album and Vince Gill sang background vocals on this album. Rodney Crowell sang background vocals on "Don't Toss Us Away". Kostas wrote 3 songs on this album, singles "Timber, I'm Falling In Love", "The Lonely Side of Love", and the non single "If You Think". The Trouble With The Truth becomes the next to lose a single! Leaving Only What I Feel and When Fallen Angels Fly untouched thus far!

Wow! P-P-P-Perfect ranking! Even better!
I also liked "The Trouble with the Truth", but the melody fell kinda flat for me. The instrumental arrangement helped me though.

I love "The Trouble With The Truth" and it hurt not having it in my Top 10 (though I could say that about my Top 23 easily). She sounds great on this song and it always gets stuck in my head. Deserved Top 20 at least!
Up next a lead single will be leaving us! 5 people will be losing a Top 10 and 3 people will lose a Bottom 10!

Was "That's the Kind of Mood I'm In" a lead single? I'm thinking it was.

Track listing1 ~ "Overtime" (Kostas) 2 ~ "The Night's Too Long" (Lucinda Williams) 3 ~ "Blue Memories" (Paul Kennerley, Karen Brooks) 4 ~ "Some Morning Soon" (Claire Lynch, Larry Lynch) 5 ~ "You Can't Run Away from Your Heart" (Wendy Waldman, Jim Photoglo) 6 ~ "On Down the Line" (Kostas) 7 ~ "I've Got to Stop Loving You (And Start Living Again)" (Paul Kennerley) 8 ~ "Looking in the Eyes of Love" (Kostas, Tricia Walker) 9 ~ "I'm That Kind of Girl" (Matraca Berg, Ronnie Samoset) 10 ~ "Feelings of Love" (Kostas) PLACEMENTS: "On Down The Line" - TBA "I'm That Kind of Girl" - TBA "The Night's Too Long" - #27 "Blue Memories" - #46 In 1990 Patty released the single "On Down The Line" that would prove to be the title track of her 4th album! "On Down The Line" would return her to the Top 5 peaking at #5! "The Night's Too Long" would miss the top 10, becoming the first single to miss the Top 10 since the #43 peaking "You Saved Me" from her second album. "The Night's Too Long" peaked at #20! The 3rd single, "I'm That Kind of Girl", would help her get back to the Top 10 where it would peak at #5! The final single from the album was "Blue Memories" and that would peak at #22. between her last album and this album she would get married to her producer Emory Gordy, Jr. Tony Brown produced this album and Vince Gill sang background vocals on this album. A few people sent me their list for songs they wanted to see spotlighted and tim gets the first one here as the song "Looking In The Eyes of Love" is one he wants everyone to hear! the lead single from Strong Heart falls here! This means "The Last Thing On My Mind" is the highest single from this album!

"The Trouble with the Truth" was never a favorite, I'm more pissed "Can't Get Enough" didn't make top 20 and that the video is geo-restricted on vevo

I have always enjoyed "That's The Kind of Mood I'm In" but it just never connected the way a lot of her other singles did. That being said I still love this song and I'm glad it made it this far!
Up next is a song I'm not happy to see leaving this early! I lose a Top 10 and only one other person ranked this song Top 10, while most people ranked this between 40 and 21. Though 2 other Country Rankdown host ranked this song in their Bottom 15 (one in the Bottom 5!!!)
Oh and an album that hasn't lost a single will finally lose one! Meaning we will be down to only one album completely intact after this!

this song should be much higher. I have always felt this song was one of her classic songs like "I'm That Kind of Girl", "Blame It On Your Heart", and "I Try To Think About Elvis". Cannot believe this is out this low!!!

Oh boy! That song's gonna be in my '94 RD, which is already jam-packed full of classics and hard-hitting songs that are all top 10 worthy.
I will be honest and say that I find the synthesized opening a little off-putting, but the song itself isn't bad at all.

if it isn't obvious already I love "You Will" and was shocked by the fact that so few even had it in their Top 20! This definitely deserved better.
Also with this elimination When Fallen Angels Fly is the last album that has yet to lose a single song!

oh and the last song to miss the Top 20 will eliminate an album! I think a couple people expected this song to be out already...

omg I'm thrilled that "Can't Get Enough" made it all the way to 25! That was something I was expecting out way earlier. I LOVE the song!!!!! I knew I'd be the highest ranker for it but I'm not ashamed at all. It's 90s country goodness.

I do like “You Will” a lot, but it seems a bit forgotten in her catalog.
I’m happy “Keep Your Distance” was nearly top 20. It wasn’t a huge hit so I wasn’t sure how it would do, but it’s terrific.

I wasn't expecting "That's The Kind Of Mood I'm In" or "Keep Your Distance" to do that well but I was hoping for top 20 for both.
I love "That's The Kind Of Mood I'm In's" melody and catchiness; it's also nostalgia from 2000 country radio.
"Let's go somewhere, nowhere we've heard of Hang the sign out, Do not disturb us?! Get a wake up call about three p.m. That's the kind of mood I'm in"
"Keep Your Distance" was 2005 CMT/GAC nostalgia, plus its vocal arrangement and instrumentation is so good! I am a little surprised more didn't love them as much as I did.

"You Will" was ROBBED. At least we liked it, castleoblivion26. Glad to see my bottom 2 cleared with "Can't Get Enough" leaving. One of only two songs I just didn't care for -- the other being the Bob Seger duet that came in last place, lol.
