The version of "Perfect" with Bocelli is again surging at iTunes. What keeps causing these seemingly random surges?

A new Drake song is #1 on iTunes. hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=310150Friday, January 19, 2018 A VERY DRAKE DROPYMCMB/Republic superstar Drake surprised fans with two new tracks, "Diplomatic Immunity" and "God's Plan," which is already impacting Rhythm radio, on Friday night, about an hour after teasing the news on Instagram. It appears the songs—now available on all DSPs—are part of a project titled Scary Hours. By midnight PT, "God's Plan" was Top 15 at iTunes.

At least God's Plan is okay. Diplomatic Immunity is garbage though and I'm glad that's the one that's not as big.

Was he even gone that long? About a year ago he debuted two forgettable songs in the top 10. I'd like to avoid that as much as possible.

^Hopefully he won't be releasing another album or mixtape this year. He has released Views plus 3 mixtapes the last 3 years, which seems enough as it is ...

^ No, next week The version of "Perfect" with Bocelli is again surging at iTunes. What keeps causing these seemingly random surges? I've noticed that a lot as well and would very much like to know. My guess is it has something more to do with Bocelli, some type of appearances he's been making or promo deal for his tour or something like that, but I tried looking him up and couldn't find anything.

Is the Drake song going to appear on this weeks H100? It'll probably debut in the lower half, then it'll rise in the next week

Is the Drake song going to appear on this weeks H100? no No, but we don't start new chart threads until the next chart week is nearly over, so we discuss things here that are really for the next chart.

^Finesse will definitely be in the top 10 in Radio Songs. Filthy seems to have stalled and End Game is probably on its way down. It also seems that Perfect has peaked in radio or is pretty close to it.

It also seems that Perfect has peaked in radio or is pretty close to it. "Perfect" has seemingly peaked at Pop, though it might be one of those cases where it sort of loses/gains for a few weeks as it has hit its limit but doesn't necessarily fall. It also seems to have stalled out at Rhythmic and Hot AC. It could still gain some at AC. "Perfect" with Bocelli is now #16 at iTunes. Wow.

Came out on a Saturday so all of the sales and streaming goes to next week. They'll only have two days of airplay for this upcoming chart, and considering neither track is getting a huge push to radio, that definitely won't be enough time to gather up enough airplay to chart.

I will seriously be remiss if either one of those songs cracks the top 10 when neither of Eminem's far superior singles managed to yet.

Several great songs there. Look at Cry Me a River giving JT his first solo top 10! Such a shame that it seems like this new album is gonna suck.
I'm with You remains a gem 15 years later.

Can we talk about that 1983 top 10 though? Not a bad one in the mix. No decade can beat the 80's when it comes to the big hits.

I forgot Scream and Shout was a top 10 hit. That was Britney's last top 10 song, right?
2008 is now 10 years ago. Seems like yesterday but looking on the artists in the top 10, none are charting that well now

I don’t get the hype for Havana tbh. Camilla Cabello is a great artist and has a lot of talent but she’s extremely overrated.
I mean, there is always hype for a #2 song to go #1 but Havana is constantly being mentioned and it’s honestly not that amazing of a song. I might just be biased because I’m a bigger fan of OMG though.
Even if it doesn’t get that #1 it is still a hit. A ton of amazing artist had their debuts not go #1. Look at Rihanna, Pon de Replay was blocked by Mariah Carey.
