I have a preliminary list done. I'll give it some lookovers throughout the day, and submit it in the evening.

Does anybody has a list of songs without numbers ahead of song titles and would be ready to share it here? :)

Also thank you Glove Slap for providing a list that is preference revealer friendly. I'll remember to do that next time. I could've done a lot of things better now that I think of it.

Alright guys, I am now officially announcing that... SUBMISSIONS ARE CLOSED. Here is the final lists of participants and followers: me George Strait Junkietimbboat11rgreen0625mamasaidkw9461castleoblivion26someguy.indulgecountrysabre14LBTrocksBackwoodsBarbieGlove SlapCoJoFanKanenrá:keFollowing: fearlessarrowIf anyone else wants to follow along let me know! In the meantime, I'll post a sneak preview about what to expect in this rankdown along with a set of prediction questions. I aim to start results on the evening of the 28th. Before I begin results, I'll also launch the '93 Country Rankdown about the beginning of next week (with a shorter deadline this time and exactly 100 songs). I've also talked about launching a personal rankdown this Spring. I'll announce the main theme behind my personal RD by the end of this month!

Good morning good morning good morning! Here are a few factoids about the results of this rankdown: * The top 3 is really clear with a runaway #1, which stayed up there for 75% of the submission process. * There is also a clear #102 which accumulated almost 1300 points, despite not having any bottom two placements. * There will be SIX ties throughout the rankdown: one in the top 90, three in the top 60, one in the top 50, and the last one inside the top 20. Here is the points distribution for the rankdown:
If y'all are bored, let's get some adrenaline pumpin' in ya with some prediction questions! 1. What artists/songs will end up in the top 10?
2. What artists/songs will end up in the bottom 12?
3. Which musical act with only one song will be eliminated first (Kenny Rogers, Clint Black, Shenandoah, Restless Heart, Chris Ledoux, Ricky Skaggs, Michelle Wright, Dwight Yoakam, Marty Stuart, Confederate Railroad, Patty Loveless, Lee Roy Parnell)?
4. Which musical act with multiple songs will be eliminated first?
5. Which male artist will lose all their songs first?
6. Which female artist will lose all their songs first?
7. Which group/duo will lose all their songs first?
8. Which song on the Billboard Year-End Chart (first 75 songs from this list) will be eliminated first?
9. Which songs will be the most polarizing (higher SDs)? Least polarizing (lower SDs)?
10. Let’s have some fun with this question. Out of sixteen submissions (the same number of submissions as from castleoblivion26 ’s 1998 RD), only fourteen of these songs are somebody’s #1. Who will lose their #1 first? Which songs do you see having multiple #1’s?George Strait Junkie tim bboat11 castleoblivion26 kw9461 mamasaid rgreen0625 someguy CoJoFan Kanenrá:ke sabre14 .indulgecountry Glove Slap BackwoodsBarbie LBTrocks

I’ll give this a whirl but I'm horrible at predictions lol... 1. What artists/songs will end up in the top 10? I suspect the females to rule the top 10...Reba could possibly end up with four songs in top 10 ("Is There Life Out There," "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia," and maybe "For My Broken Heart" and "Greatest Man I Never Knew"); Wynonna's "I Saw the Light" and "No One Else on Earth" are contenders; Suzy Bogguss with "Outbound Plane"; Tanya Tucker's "Some Kind of Trouble"; Pam Tillis could also sneak in with "Maybe It Was Memphis." For the males, Brooks & Dunn's "Neon Moon" is a contender; I'd like to see Tracy's "Sticks and Stones" do well along with "Seminole Wind" by John Anderson and "Only the Wind" from Billy Dean. 2. What artists/songs will end up in the bottom 12? "Whatcha Gonna Do With a Cowboy" isn't going to fare well along with "Same Ol' Love"; Vince Gill will likely have a song in the bottom 12 ("Look At Us" or "I Still Believe In You"); Steve Wariner isn't a favorite on Pulse so maybe one of his two songs; "Broken Promise Land" by Mark Chesnutt; "So Much Like My Dad" didn't fare well in George Strait's rankdown so maybe that one as well. For the females I could see a couple of Trisha's songs ("Wrong Side of Memphis") not doing well. 3. Which musical act with only one song will be eliminated first (Kenny Rogers, Clint Black, Shenandoah, Restless Heart, Chris Ledoux, Ricky Skaggs, Michelle Wright, Dwight Yoakam, Marty Stuart, Confederate Railroad, Patty Loveless, Lee Roy Parnell)? I'm going to go with Chirs Ledoux or Ricky Skaggs 4. Which musical act with multiple songs will be eliminated first? Maybe Steve Wariner or Sammy Kershaw 5. Which male artist will lose all their songs first? ^ See above 6. Which female artist will lose all their songs first? I'm actually going to go with Trisha Yearwood 7. Which group/duo will lose all their songs first? Restless Heart or Confederate Railroad 8. Which song on the Billboard Year-End Chart (first 75 songs from this list) will be eliminated first? No clue...maybe one of Steve Mariner's songs 9. Which songs will be the most polarizing (higher SDs)? Least polarizing (lower SDs)? :"Achy Breaky Heart" and a Garth Brooks song could end up being polarizing / "Is There Life Out There" 10. Let’s have some fun with this question. Out of sixteen submissions (the same number of submissions as from castleoblivion26’s 1998 RD), only fourteen of these songs are somebody’s #1. Who will lose their #1 first? Which songs do you see having multiple #1’s? Not ready to think this hard on a Saturday I'll come back to this one

1. What artists/songs will end up in the top 10? Pam Tillis "Maybe It Was Memphis" Reba McEntire "Is There Life Out There" are the only two I'm convinced will be a lock.
2. What artists/songs will end up in the bottom 12? Steve Wariner with all his songs, and probably multiple Garth.
3. Which musical act with only one song will be eliminated first (Kenny Rogers, Clint Black, Shenandoah, Restless Heart, Chris Ledoux, Ricky Skaggs, Michelle Wright, Dwight Yoakam, Marty Stuart, Confederate Railroad, Patty Loveless, Lee Roy Parnell)? Lee Roy Parnell
4. Which musical act with multiple songs will be eliminated first? Steve Wariner
5. Which male artist will lose all their songs first? Steve Wariner
6. Which female artist will lose all their songs first? Tanya Tucker
7. Which group/duo will lose all their songs first? Little Texas
8. Which song on the Billboard Year-End Chart (first 75 songs from this list) will be eliminated first? "A Woman Loves"
9. Which songs will be the most polarizing (higher SDs)? Least polarizing (lower SDs)? "Achy Breaky Heart" and "Is There Life Out There" respectively
10. Let’s have some fun with this question. Out of sixteen submissions (the same number of submissions as from castleoblivion26 ’s 1998 RD), only fourteen of these songs are somebody’s #1. Who will lose their #1 first? Which songs do you see having multiple #1’s? LBT will lose his first. "Maybe It Was Memphis" may have multiple #1's.

I agree with the majority of what Jordan said, aside from the things about Maybe It Was Memphis. I'm definitely going to be a major outlier on that one . I understand that Garth will probably do very badly, and I get why given his...humdrums after the turn of the new millennium, but I'm glad I had his discography from a "search" about a decade ago. I've always considered his material during the 1989-1993 period (which also happens to be my favorite 5-year period in popular music) to be extremely strong for the most part, and a good amount of the songs here are absolutely excellent. I also really like his other single from this year that didn't do that well that led The Chase, We Shall Be Free.

2. What artists/songs will end up in the bottom 12? Garth Brooks and Mark Chesnutt
3. Which musical act with only one song will be eliminated first (Kenny Rogers, Clint Black, Shenandoah, Restless Heart, Chris Ledoux, Ricky Skaggs, Michelle Wright, Dwight Yoakam, Marty Stuart, Confederate Railroad, Patty Loveless, Lee Roy Parnell)? Clint Black

1. What artists/songs will end up in the top 10? Reba is a lock for the Top 10 with at least 2 songs if not 3. I could even see all 4 songs making it. I think Pam Tillis and Suzy Bogguss will both make it for sure. Definitely see Wynonna make it. I do think Collin Raye, Alan Jackson, and Lorrie Morgan all could make it as well.2. What artists/songs will end up in the bottom 12? I am hoping at least "It Only Hurts When I Cry" and "Whatcha Gonna Do With A Cowboy" go early. Not really rooting against anything else and not sure what everyone really thinks about a majority of these songs.3. Which musical act with only one song will be eliminated first (Kenny Rogers, Clint Black, Shenandoah, Restless Heart, Chris Ledoux, Ricky Skaggs, Michelle Wright, Dwight Yoakam, Marty Stuart, Confederate Railroad, Patty Loveless, Lee Roy Parnell)? Chris Ledoux I don't see lasting long at all, same with Dwight Yoakam. 4. Which musical act with multiple songs will be eliminated first? Billy Ray Cyrus possibly. Maybe Ricky Van Shelton. Could also see Steve Wariner not doing too great and these are not his strongest songs.5. Which male artist will lose all their songs first? Chris Ledoux which I expect to be in last place.6. Which female artist will lose all their songs first? I think female artist will last quite a while but I could see either Trisha Yearwood or Michelle Wright being the first to go.7. Which group/duo will lose all their songs first? definitely think Confederate Railroad, or Restless Heart maybe8. Which song on the Billboard Year-End Chart (first 75 songs from this list) will be eliminated first? hopefully Dwight Yoakam because that has to be my least favorite song from him ever. 9. Which songs will be the most polarizing (higher SDs)? Least polarizing (lower SDs)? Most: Billy Ray Cyrus. Least: anything from Reba.10. Let’s have some fun with this question. Out of sixteen submissions (the same number of submissions as from castleoblivion26 ’s 1998 RD), only fourteen of these songs are somebody’s #1. Who will lose their #1 first? Which songs do you see having multiple #1’s? no idea, but Reba's songs will most likely all have #1's I think. Not sure what else could have multiple.
Also just want to add that "There Ain't Nothing Wrong With The Radio" is a classic and better not be tanked!!! Patty better last a while as well, love "Jealous Bone"

Hey guys!
I know y'all are looking forward to results, but I have some bad news: I haven't started making graphics for this yet. I'm hoping to at least do the bottom two tomorrow evening, but don't expect a huge set of reveals in one setting as I'm also working on lots of other RDs (including launching my '93 RD and fine-tuning my personal RD).
Hope you guys will be around tomorrow evening!

I intentionally failed to mention that a top 30 and top 50 would be leaving us already. Anyways, both SHeDAISY's song and this have a knock-down, drag-out fight in their lyrics. This one was pretty much last place the entire time (got the first four lists within a week of opening the RD). Did it deserve last place? Doubt it. Was I surprised to see it in last place? Only a teeny tiny bit, since this isn't really Ronnie at his best. Oh well, some things are simply out of our control.

I like Ronnie Milsap a lot but I really could not get into this song. Ranked it higher than it deserved because it is him but that wasn't much obviously. Not sad to see this out first.

This was mediocre so neither surprised nor disappointed it's first out. It only just barely escaped my bottom 10.

I’ve always liked Ronnie Milsap, but this song isn’t one of his best. Hard to believe this almost peaked in the top ten.

This is not a standout from him. Agreed. When compared to the rest of Kenny's discography this song and era was weak. I actually really liked his 1989's Something Inside So Strong album..songs like "Planet Texas" and the title track were great.
