I met up with a couple of friends today for coffee. We were sitting talking when one of them, who was scrolling on instagram, suddenly goes "Wtf??? She looks so fucking fake!" We were like "who?" and he showed us these Halloween pics on Madge's account. Both of my friends started trashing her looks, saying that she's overdoing it with the filters and the IG retouching and whatnot. I thought it was funny that my friend repeated almost the same thing Spree said in the previous page: "the photoshop is so absurd at this point, she looks younger than Lourdes."

Horrible song like most of Madonna's collaborations with big names. When i think of it like that, i'm glad a collab with MJ didn't happen, it could've been the worst song of the century. :kii: her song with Prince is the worst song on Like a Prayer. And that song with Ricky Martin was also awful.

Yeah, too much done to those photos. V posted this "Private Affair" video- much prefer that to the photos used for the magazine. (I used to get the mags, too, but at some point, gotta stop- like MX says, the clutter). Yes, the photos have been too filtered and her lipstick over done. The video shows her in a more flattering light, I agree. My bigger issue is the wig. It sits too high on her head and gives her an enormous forehead, which accentuates the "pull" to her face. Her own hair looks much more flattering.

And that song with Ricky Martin was also awful. The duet with Ricky was underwhelming. Yeah, nice ok soft ballad, but that was it. You would've expected something more explosive. No regarding Prince... again yes, people would've expected a larger than live song that would've been single and would've destroyed the charts. I accept that. But perhaps because I was also a HUGE Prince fan those days, I totally fell in love with the song and couldn't stop listening to it. To this day, more than 30 years later, I still love it and would never skip it when listening to the album.

I've come to appreciate "Love Song" more over the years than I initially did. Still not ne of the album's best tracks, though it's quirky and couldn't imagine the album without it.

Madonna loves trolling people, she does so much photoshop because it annoys people, not that she's insecure about her age, face, body. She knows she looks great for a woman of 63.

Btw, any fans love Evita as much as i do? I do agree with ALW that no one could've played her better than Madonna.

The first half of the movie Madonna is brilliant. She kinda falls apart at the end in that crying scene, but she did great overall, imo. Deserved the GG.

At the end, she sings live on Your Little Body’s Slowly Breaking Down and also in Lament. I believe she was the first actress to film singing live in a musical movie. To me, that’s when she shines. She is so vulnerable with raw emotions there. I read that Allen Parker, the director, said that she thought of her mother in those scenes.

I saw Evita twice (I think) in theaters. The "Your Little Body's Slowly Breaking down" and "Lament" scenes alone earned her that GG. I think she also sang live "The Actress Hasn't Learned the Lines... " reprise that precedes 'Eva's Final Broadcast," when she's preparing to go out to the people.

Not sure about the outfit, but the best thing is that she looked like Madonna. She no doubt will have filtered pics up on her Instagram. lol In her own words, repeat after me... "Instagram is not real."

Madonna’s appearance with Maluma on one of four covers for our November 2021 Musicians on Musicians issue extends a historic streak: Since Rolling Stone‘s founding, she has appeared more times on this publication’s cover than any other female artist. It’s a tribute to her ability to stay at the center of pop culture for longer than nearly anyone. Here, a look back at the 23 times Madonna has made the cover of Rolling Stone.

For fun, let's say Madonna was putting out an album of Greatest Deep Cuts / Album Tracks. What 10 songs would you put on it?
My choices are:
1)Physical Attraction (though was a Double A side with Burning Up in some markets) 2)Where's the Party 3)Secret Garden 4)Sky Fits Heaven 5)Devil Pray 6)Love Spent 7)Future Lovers 8)Let It Will Be 9)Devil Wouldn't Recognize You 10)Gang Bang

I still stan "Angel" to this day!!! I love the unconventional structure and unexpected switches throughout the song, making it more complex than the bubblegum pop song it sounds like on first listen.

I find the entire LAV album to sound so dated with the exception of Angel and Stay. I love both those songs.

For the upcoming anniversary editions she's curating with Warner, I hope her first three albums have something like the 7" and 12" versions compiled.
Looking back at the 30th Anniversary of LAP, Warner did a good job at including everything from that era! It's just a question of whether they want to include the Q-Sound mixes from TIC on any of these.

I pray that these upcoming re-issues are way more thorough.
