I had a dream about her this afternoon. In the dream, she had noticed I had a picture of her on my computer screen. We then hugged. Being a fangirl, I kept gushing and saying "omg omg omg omg!!!" Katy Perry was also in the dream.

From the pages of Billboard.com. They are focused on chart achievements for this week.
May 17, 2008 10 years ago: Madonna earned her seventh of eight No. 1s on the Billboard 200 with the chart-topping launch of Hard Candy. The set yielded the No. 3 Hot 100 hit "4 Minutes," featuring Justin Timberlake and Timbaland.
May 19, 1990 More Madonna: She'd been inspired by dancer/choreographers Jose and Luis Xtravaganza from the Harlem "House Ball" community, who introduced "vogue"-ing to her at the New York club Sound Factory. On this date in 1990, her song "Vogue," with its iconic back-and-white video, struck a pose atop the Billboard Hot 100 for the first of three weeks.

For Mother's Day Madonna had posted some picture with her daughter or daughters. Some trolls kept trashing her in the comments about the picture she selected. Apparently it got to Madonna and she replaced it something else. Fans were posting support all over the new pic. Does anyone know what the removed picture was and what folks were ripping her about?

She went waaaay overboard on the fillers. ![](http://instagram.com/p/Biu5zLGhdld/media/?size=l)

Ok thanks. I assume it is not taken on mother’s day because at the Met Gala her face was not nearly this plumped up. Unless between monday and the weekend she got fillers and then flew back to Portugal.

Why does she get fillers? They just make her look odd.
I get she's almost 60 but she's still so beautiful.

Why does she get fillers? cuz they flatten out the wrinkles. And despite what she says about being the victim of ageism, I think internally she's terrified of looking old. I wish she would grow to accept it, and possibly play the "cool, edgy old woman" role, sportin' grey hair and owning it. I like the goth look of the Met Gala, but I wish she would go even darker and become a grey-haired witch, lol. Almost like a Disney character.

It kills me that she's so pathological about aging given how much she used to not give a shit about society's expectations of women.

I mean, based on that photo, its obvious she got some fillers, but she doesn't look horrible. I think what gets people commenting and all up in arms is that she is SUCH a public figure and her face has been plastered all over the media for over 35 years. Therefore, people have a set image in their head as to what she is supposed to look like. They keep comparing her against what she looked like at 25...30...35...etc. It is unfair to her quite honestly. There are plenty of other non-celebrity folks out there who are a fan of fillers and botox and no one bats an eye. Hell, I have gone with my best friend to his dermatologist and watched him get a thousand bucks worth of botox injected into his face and then we go have a cosmo.
Does she overdo it sometimes, sure. But is it something we should tear her to shreds over, absolutely not. Anyway, on those days we see her puffed up, it is probably right after she had it done because it starts to settle into something less puffy in about a week.

Well, we've had Beautiful Stranger, Beautiful Killer, I guess it's time for game?
I hope this comes sooner than later. I'm ready.

Hopefully it's another Madonna-Mirawis gem to add to the collection.

It's probably for the World Cup considering her son plays for Benfica. She's practically a soccer mom.

Hopefully it's another Madonna-Mirawis gem to add to the collection. I'm cautiously optimistic. His work with Madonna has been a mixed bag. His songs on the "Music" and "Confessions" albums were pretty glorious. But he also gave us almost all of the "American Life" album and that awful track "It's So Cool."

Remember when Madonna rocked this look for five minutes? Aside from the Pepsi commercial and a Vogue cover / layout, we never saw it again. I wish she would have kept it. I don’t know if this was pre or post the Like a Prayer video though, because she is totally brunette in the video. Might have been after, as she eventually had to bleach and cut her hair for Dick Tracy, so maybe she was having some fun in between. Also, she implied in an interview that Pepsi knew what the LAP video was all about when she filmed with them. Anyway, I thought she looked fabulous. Attachment Deleted

Reggie Lucas, who produced most of Madonna's debut album, has died at 65.

Sad about Reggie Lucas. With Mark Kamins being gone as well, the only collaborator from her first album still alive is Jelly Benitez ("Holiday").

Glad she posted something about Reggie (RIP). I know they had some disagreements about the sound of some of the tracks on the first album. "Borderline" is a gem, as is its older sister, "Never Knew Love Like This Before."
Rebel- true about AL. But that album did have some gems on it, amidst the less-than-glorious tracks.

Watching Janet last night accept the Billboard Icon Award. I wondered if Madonna had ever received it and she hasn't. I thought she got it back in 2013 but that was for top touring act. Madonna is long over due to receive it.

Janet certainly is deserving of recognition. Oftentimes, those awards are dependent on availability and such. There probably are artist reps calling/contacting Billboard asking for their acts to receive the award (it is a good promotional tool).
Recall the MTV Icon designation- she, Michael J, Prince, U2, etc. were already "MTV Icons," as noted in their presence during the initial show's opening credits. She's an obvious icon- could be that thinking, or she hasn't been interested. Based on some acts who have received it since 2011, certainly she would have by now had she wanted it at the time.

I think Madonna has said in the past that she does not like Legend, Artist Recognition, Lifetime Achievement etc. awards. She said something along those lines when she was going to get something from the British Recording Academy. She said those are the kinds of awards you get at the end of your career and she declined the award. So could be that she has not been interested, as you say. No shade to Janet at all. I think she is amazing and I have seen her in concert several times. She is a blast and a half. I don't necessarily think she is an icon at the level of Madonna, but I would put her way up there with Mariah, Whitney, Celine, etc. I am not even a fan of Mariah and Celine, but you can't deny their success or impact.

Really, who *is* an icon on the level of Madonna? It doesn't diminish another artist's achievements.
It's kind of a moot point given that Jennifer Lopez received the Icon Award before Janet. LOL. It's because she was willing to show up.
