This was another strong year. Hard to rank songs form like 20-70, as I like all of them. Overall, however, 1983 and 1984 were even tougher, as my LOVE was higher for most of the songs in each year. Look forward to seeing the results --and seeing how bad the pop-rock ballads will fare this time

20 players, nice! And this might even finish before we hear another peep about the 1983 game. :sip2: :kii:

Hmm...I guess the lack of availability for "All I Need" (on Spotify) warranted all those low ranks. Wasn't expecting to get a p-p-p-p-p-perfect ranking this early though! I normally like some of Phil Collins' material, but "Separate Lives" did virtually nothing for me.

I would have been surprised about anything else being #100. Separate Lives is far and away Phil Collins' most boring hit.
This was a very strong group overall. The only ones I outright don't like are around my bottom 10.

Awwww. ..I'm sad about Jermaine Jackson. Such a lovely song. So far, I've lost two songs from the top ten.

I'm not surprised about Chicago tho. It is a bit on the sappy side. I remember it was featured on Vh1's Awesomely Bad Love Songs, and someone said the song sounded like a Hallmark greeting card. Lmao! ππ πππ
I bet Foreigner's I Want To Know What Love Is would be next to go!

Never thought Paul McCartney of all people would be in the bottom 10.

Chicago is out, so I'm content. Didn't really lose anything of true significance, either. I like the "California Girls" cover, but I was under no illusion that it would do very well. "No More Lonely Nights" not even having a top 40 ranking is surprising, though.

Sea of Love was a first listen for me, and my god, was it horrendous. I couldn't even get through the whole song. It might actually be my least favorite song on this list.
Only reason I didn't rank it last is that my #100 is a song I ranked last mainly on principle.

100. All I Need - Jack WagnerPoor Jack Waganer. At least Dr. Noah(Rick Springfield) has more fans. #99. Separate Lives - Phil Collins & Marilyn MartinThis was a pretty sappy ballad. I never got into this one. #98. Sentimental Street - Night RangerNow this rank totally sucked. I can see why peple would tank an AOR Rock ballad, but Night Ranger was fucking awesome. #97. Penny Lover - Lionel Richie For me; this was the weakest out of all his singles. LOL. I don't think I have ever lost my #100 this quick. #96. California Girls - David Lee RothThe only reason I can see this coming in this low, is because some members are scared of girls in bikinis? Solution? Pass them all over to me. #95. Do What You Do - Jermaine JacksonLet's get serious here for a minute. This sappy ballad is not the best showing for Jermaine. He had some bad ass songs, like "Let Me Tickle Your fancy, "Dynamite" and my favorite "Let's Get Serious". #94. The Search Is Over - SurvivorObviuosly no one here is thankful they have found their soul mate. I found mine 5 times so far, and counting. :kii: #93. Sea Of Love - The HoneydrippersLOL! You guys tank rock ballads, the way I tank rap music. #92. You're The Inspiration - ChicagoAnother ballad bites the dust. I can you all tanking Loverboy - "This Could Be The Night" , Starship - "Sara", Rick Springfield "What Kind Of Fool Am I". Remind myself to rank those extra high when dealing with pulse. #91. No More Lonely Nights - Paul McCartneyI have to agree that this wasn't that great.
