60. Who's Zooming' Who (91): A personal top 25, a fun dance song, but just not that memorable to me.
59. Axel F (73): A personal top 20 and a song that does represent the 1980s very well.
58. Jungle of Love (81): This one wasn't heard at that time back home, so I only heard it a few years ago, which may have affected my limited love of it.
57. Voices Carry (79): Strong chorus, very 1980s, but not as strong verses. Great video that had some good rotation back home. I didn't know much about them and thought they were just 1-hit wonders... until about 10 years ago when a good friend of mine introduced to F@#% Smileys, one of my favorite albums at that time by Aimee Mann, who then I learned was former 'Til Tuesday's front woman. Great surprise!
56. One More Night (85): A country and personal top 5, but Phil has had several personal chart-toppers. This one was ok and hasn't aged that well with me. I like most of his other ballads, covers included.
55. Born In The USA (67): A strong song, but it gets a bit too shouty at some points.
54. Lover Boy (41): I remember buying the 45 RPM of this one, a personal chart-topper. I remember the extended version playing in our local radios. Big hit back home that I think still sounds pretty good (the bridge and last minute are pretty good!)
53. St. Elmo's Fire (42): Quite epic song with an anthemic rock sound. A personal top 3 and a hit back home, although with no much longevity...
52. Neutron Dance (51): Almost perfect ranking! Love the bridge and the harmonies and the high energy of the song.
51. All She Wants To Do Is Dance (50): Yet another almost perfect ranking!! I've loved the sound of this song, a personal top 5 and my second favorite from Don.

That was the MAIN reason why I rank it as #1. When you hear that song, you get nostalgic feels of the entire 80s decade. I instantly think of break-dancing and boomboxes. Lol

I'll share some honorable mentions with songs that were top 2s in my personal chart, and likely none else in this forum did that lol:
- I Wanna Rock (Twisted Sisters): Following the success of We're Not Gonna Take It (a multi-week #1 back home and in my chart), IWR became another big hit, also supported by a great video clip. It entered my chart in 1984 but reached the top in 1985.
- Girls With Guns (Tommy Shaw): Just as Denise DeYoung did with Desert Moon in 1984, ex-Styx Tommy Shaw managed to reach the top of my charts with this pure pop bliss of a song (following a bit the style of Styx's Music Time). Great memories of this one!
- Beat Street Strut (Juicy) / - Street Dance (Break Machine): Breakin' had reached the top of my personal chart. Showdown had reached top 10. Other 'breakdance' type of songs like Give me Tonight, Let the Music Play, Rockit, I Feel for You were also big hits in my personal chart. In the middle of the breakdance frenzy, these two songs were just minor hits back home, but my brother and I liked both of these songs. I ranked them together just for giggles lol and both reached the top in early 1985.
- Colour My Love (Fun Fun): This Italo disco song was a BIG hit in the Summer of 1985 back home, and a 2-week personal chart-topper. The long version was heard much more often than the short/radio edit of the video below. It has a very 1980s song, but I still use it often :
- Stranger in Town (Toto): This was Toto's last big hit back home, and personal chart-topper. A top 50 of the year for me. Follow-up Isolation underperformed, but Holyanna was another hit with good longevity like SIT. I was very surprised when I learned many years later that this was an underperformer in the US.
- Baby Talk (Billy Idol): Following two personal and country chart-toppers of 1984: Dancing with Myself and Eyes Without a Face, and two less successful singles Rebel Yell and Flesh for Fantasy, Baby Talk was a personal and country chart-topper, big Summer hit. Back home it was the B side to DWM but radios picked it up and turned it into a bonafide hit
- Mony Mony (Billy Idol): And following Baby Talk, radio stations back home turned Mony Mony into a late Summer hit in 1985. Just like that, Billy had quite a big era in my personal chart with 4 songs reaching the top :) I was quite puzzled when I later saw that a live version became a hit in the US a couple years later and that this studio version wasn't a hit at all. Huh?

Huh? Now it's my turn to share some songs with you. "I Wanna Rock" definitely had chart action with me. Peaked at #20 and right outside my top 100 of 1985. I also liked "The Price" and took "Leader Of The Pack" into my top 20 in 1986. "Girls With Guns" was a fun track. Top 40 on my charts. Tommy also released another album in late 1985. With the single "Remo's Theme (What If)". It sounded a bit too Tom Petty for Tommy's style. I just didn't think that sound worked for him. I didn't get into the Beat street vibe. It wasn't all that popular where I was, but I did get into the Italo vibes of "Colour My Love". High Energy was super popular wiuth the latin crowd. You would be surprised how many of those ,80's Italo Energy 12's I have in my record collection. "Baby Talk". I have that single where it appears as the B-side. I liked it enough to chart it as well. "Money Money" became a hit in 1987. I'll bring that one back when we rank that year. "Stranger In Town" was a top 25 hit for me in 1984.

Love Teena, but was never big on Lovergirl.
I'll take the P-P-P-Perfect Ranking on Sussudio, but I'm still shocked that it made it this far.

I wasn't sure whether I was gonna rank 'One Night In Bangkok' that well; I did like the production of 'Chess' I saw a few years ago, but I thought that this particular song wouldn't work so well as a standalone single.

I had forgotten IWTKWLI was still in, partly because I had assumed it'd be gone forever ago. Anyway, I believe that leaves just one song from my bottom 20 (one that might end up winning ).

Great surprise! they had several other hits, most notably: 1986 What About Love #26 (#9 Rock & #92 Australia)
also:
1985 Looking Over Your Shoulder #61 1987 Coming Up Close #59 (#37 Rock) 1988 Believed (You Were Lucky) #97 (#30 Alternative)
plus:
Aimee Mann has had a quite prolific solo career with many Alt charters & songs on many soundtracks

Wow! I'm honestly surprised how this song lasted this long. I was pretty sure people would be so quick to rank it so low on their list.
