OK, BITCHES! Time for me to post some fly jams from 1988 that weren't part of this rankdown! I don't know if any of them have been posted or discussed already, but lemme know what you think!

The last of my top 10 songs fell tonight with the exit of "Sweet Child O' Mine", so here they all are. Including the missing numbers. Also those wondering were are the Vixen and Lita Ford songs? Here they come in 3-2-1. 30. Lita Ford - Kiss Me Deadly (Billboard HOT 100#12) DOC #4)The hotness factor couldn't get any steamier with Lita Ford slithering around the floor with her guitar on this classic Glam Metal jam. 29. Vixen - Edge Of A Broken Heart (BIllboard HOT 100#26) (DOC #3)If one hot Rock babe wasn't enough, how about four fierce rockers from Minnesota. Vixen was considered the Female version of Bon Jovi. With thier hard driving basslines and Janet Gardner on vocals they became one of the biggest Glam rock hit machines of the late 80's. Both Lita and Vixen will return on my 1989 list. 28. Pam Russo - It Works For Me (Latin Freestyle) (DOC #4)Here we continue with my Freestyle onslaught. Pam Russo was an up and coming Freestyle artist on label 4th & B'way Records. The same label were big names like Dino and Noel first appeared. I have never come across an official MV for the song, but I know this was one of the big Dance chart hits of the year. www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgH38nAnGkw27. Breathe - Hands To Heaven (Billboard HOT 100#2) (DOC #1)First of the two big hits from the British Sophistipop band. 26. Stevie B. - Dreamin' Of Love (Miami Freestyle) (Billboard HOT 100#80) (DOC #2)My next three songs are all from the Freestyle world. The male Music Videos were seriously cheesy but the songs were great. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCdczSl9-2Q
25. Cover Girls - Because Of You (Latin Freestyle) (Billboard HOT 100#27) (DOC #3)The Cover Girls were my favorite Big haired Freestyle female group. They had the best synths riffs in their songs. This was surprisingly a big top 30 hit on the HOT 100. www.youtube.com/watch?v=acAahUnFLvk
24. Stevie B. - Spring Love (Miami Freestyle) (Billboard HOT 100#43) Hot Dance #5) (DOC #1)Stevie B. was one of the most influential acts in Freestyle and NRG music scene. Like all the Freestyle acts, his biggest hit ended up being the pop ballad "Because I Love You(The Postman song)". In fact it was a #1 HOT 100 hit in 1990. Here is another Music Video that featured a Big Haired hottie as the object of desire. The next 5 hits are from the actual 1988 Top 100. I just loved them way more than most people did. 23. Debbie Gibson - Foolish Beat (Billboard HOT 100#1) DOC #2)An incredible Pop Ballad. For me, The female version of George Michael's "Careless Whisper". Debbie returned to my 1989 charts with "Electric Youth". 22. White Lion - Wait (Billboard HOT 100#8) (DOC #1)Love em or hate em. White Lion were awesome. Glam Metal at its most Glam. For most of 1988 I had at least one different Glam Metal song as my #1 song. You can blame MTV's TRL for that. 21. Poison - Nothin' But A Good Time (Billboard HOT 100#6) (DOC #1)Party rock Metal at its very best. This was a personal #1 song for me. Almost any songs that has this vibe, instantly becomes a favorite of mine. I can't for the life of me find the official MV on youtube, but I think this MV fits the song even more. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uMXkbFK8VQ
PART II.20. Breathe - How Can I Fall (Billboard HOT 100 #3) (DOC #1)To go from Glam Metal Poison to Sophistipop Breathe might sound crazy to some, but I loved the music vibe of this British band. These ballads had a lot of class and sounded great on the radio. This song in particular is one of my all time favorite Pop ballads. Breathe returned one last time to my top 10 with "Don't Tell Me Lies" 19. Rick Astley - It Would Take A Strong Strong Man (Billboard HOT 100#10) (DOC #3)The stellar vocals of Rick Astley return again with this this big hit. This one had less of a Dance vibe, but still just as classy as all his songs. Through the years this also became my favorite Rick Astley song ever. 18. Pretty Poison - Catch Me (I'm Falling) (Billboard HOT 100 #8) (DOC #3) With its Freestyle Dance vibes and Glam Metal guitar solo this song raced up the chart in no time. To my surprise I later learned the band started out as a kind of New Wave NRG band. This is also one of my favorite Music videos of the year. man, If Pop dance music still sounded this great I would be all over that CHR chart. 17. Sweet Sensation - Take It While It's Hot (Latin Freestyle) (Billboard HOT 100 #57) (DOC #3)My highest charting song from Sweet Sensation peaked all the way at #3. This was also one of the top songs of Power 106 YE list for 1988 and a massive club hit. 16. George Michael - Faith (Billboard HOT 100 #1)(DOC #4)This song finished off at #45 on my 1987 list, but ends up a top 20 for my 1988 list. There is still one more George Michael song to come. George Michael was the reason I started wearing sunglasses... and never took them off again. 15. Bardeux - Magic Carpet Ride (Hi-Energy) (Billboard HOT Dance #5) (DOC #1)Another one of my favorite dance groups of the 80's. I love how they went from Freestyle NRG to full blown Hi- Energy in one year. This band has an interesting history. From one of the original members leaving to persue a hard core Rap and Metal career, to the group going full R&B hip hop by the second album. Stacy "Acacia" Smith, the blonde one stayed with the group , but Lisa "Jaz" Teaney the one who knew how to play the synths left. I was done with this band by 1990, but they will return one more time to my chart with the Hi Energy hit "Hold Me". 14. Pet Shop Boys & Dusty Springfield - What Have I Done To Deserve This? (Billboard HOT 100 #2) DOC #2)Not only did this end in my top 20 of 1988, but its also my favorite Pet Shop Boys song. 13. Kiss - Reason To Live (Billboard HOT 100 #64) (DOC #2)Everyone knows how much I love Kiss, so it was only natural for this song to end up super high on my list. It peaked at #2, but Kiss returned to my number 1 position in 1990 with two songs of f'Hot In The Shade". Paul Stanley remains at least to me, the most charasmatic rocker ever. I always hated Billboard for trying to shut them out of the Top 10 in Glam Metal era. They practically invented it. 12. Noel - Like A Child (Miami Freestyle) (Billboard HOT 100 #67) (Hot Dance Club #1)(DOC #2)at #12 is the New York based act who had the #1 song on my 1987 list with "Silent Morning". Noel Pagan, known as Noel returned with this Freestyle bouncer. It actually charted in the HOT 100 at #67, but did its real damage on the Hot Dance Club charts going all the way to #1. This particular song tries out some Housey beats in the mid break, but don't sound out of place at all. Noel will return in 1989 with "Out Of Time", "City Streets" and "Change". Noel's unique vocals made me enjoy his songs even more. 11. Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up (Billboard HOT 100 #1) (DOC #1)A #1 song all over the world. This is the one that started it all for Rick. Like I mentioned "...Strong Strong Man" has become my favorite Rick Astley song, but back then this was the bop masterpiece. Rick Astley put out his best foot magic in this MV. You really cannot do any other dance to this song but the "Rick Roll". * I'll reveal my top 10 songs tomorrow, along with the missing numbers, but I'm pretty sure they will come as no surprise. Just think. How many Glam Metal songs still need to appear.

MITM has way overstayed.
I expected SD to do well given the overall makeup of this list, but it sneaking into the top 10 was a pleasant surprise.

The one really cool thing about this top 10. I expected it to be out in the 30s, so I'll certainly take it.

Finally. I still maintain that all of the singles from this album were good, but these types of songs have always been my least favorite from him.
The right song from him has lasted the longest.

Figured it was a matter of time until โHeavenโ got the boot, but at least it made the top 10! Iโve always adored the singles from that album.
