Seeing as though this is a big rankdown with 100 songs I am going to make the deadline for this November 17, 2018. A possible extension will be considered...
1. Inverse Point system will be used (i.e. rank singles 1-100).
2. You must rank all the singles (if there's a remix you prefer, you can use that for your ranking instead, you don't have to specify whether you did)

So aside from Glam/Hair Metal I was into Hi- Energy and Freestyle. The only types of dance music I ever really cared for. Besides 1970's Disco of course. Here a few 1988 extras from the hi Energy and Freestyle world. You run into many of these in my own personal top 100 of 1988.
Stacey Q. - I Love You
After her monster discoteque hits like, "Two Of Hearts" , We Connect" and "Insecurity", she released her second album, 'Hard Machine'. this was the Hi-Energy candy hit.
Bardeux - Magic Carpet Ride
A minor HOT 100 hit (#81), and top 5 dance club hit , this was their second single. This was ULTRA huge on my chart. Hi- Energy had to be heard in extended formats, but this version kept the Pop bubblegum parts intact.
Sa-Fire - Boy I've Been Told
Already huge in the Miami Freestyle scene, this hit was off her self titled debut album.
Mike Mareen - Don't Talk to The Snake
Already huge in Europe with his massive club hit "Love Spy", "Don't Talk To The Snake" follows the same heavy synth oriented Hi -Energy style of the late 80's
Amante - Be My Delight
Hi- Energy was very popular among the L.A. Based Latino crowd. TSR was a label who dished out hit after hit. These songs had a latin vibe to them as opposed to the European Italo Disco ones.
Noel - Like A Child
Noel Pagan also known as Noel had one of the biggest Freestyle hits of the dance scene. "Silent Morning" Naturally he needed a follow up to keep the Freestyle fans content. "Like A Child" proved very successful in the Miami Dance scene. He even adds a bit of housy beats in the breakdown, but they don't sound out of place at all.
Jeaneet & The New Dance - Feel The Energy
Last but not least is a song that sums up the latin Hi- Energy sound labels like JDC were releasing like hot potatos.

KPWR was a dance music radio station in the mid to late 80's. They played all the freshest dance trax. Including the big Freestyle and Hi-Energy 12's that Billboard hot 100 passed up on. This station playlist was a huge influence on me, when it came to club music.
