"Nothing I Can Do" is the only song on the album I don't really care for. It's rather meh and forgettable to me. :/
ETA: "Angelene" going out next I'm okay with as well. I correctly predicted that these would be the two lowest tracks from the record, so yay me, lol.

This song should have been last place. The lyrical message is neat and all, and the verses are great, but the chorus melody just plods... Jo Dee's voice can normally elevate any song regardless of quality, but in this case she just sounds so bored.
I'm also extra disappointed by this song because this theme of relationship abuse is normally one that makes for awesome songs (think Faith's "A Man's Home Is His Castle", Shania's "Black Eyes, Blue Tears", and of course Martina's "Independence Day"), and yet here comes "Angelene", trying to be a boring attempt at an upbeat mid-tempo, and it just doesn't work. Easily the worst song on the album (but I still like it! I just think it should be in last place).

This song deserves no part of this last place placement.... "Nothing I Can Do" is so catchy! Jo Dee's vocal performance is delicious here. Her voice is low and almost sultry in the verses, that "ooooooo" leading out of the instrumental solo is exuberant, and then the way she cracks her voice for the last 1/3 of the song is so unique and talented. I'm not super surprised to see this in last place, but it definitely is NOT the worst song on the album. Also, I can't believe this managed to get a #3 rank, and still lose a tiebreaker!!!! RIP whoever is about to lose a top 2 I'm not surprised because this is Pulse. Otherwise I would be surprised... great song! "Angelene" on the other hand, I'm not upset to see go. Didn't care for it that much.

Can't wait to see what #9 is! Hopefully it's "If Not You", but everything that is left is pretty amazing, so it will have potential to hurt quite a bit regardless of what it is...

"These Are The Days" is one of those songs about loving life that just can't help but pump you up. I love it so much! And it helps that it immediately grabs your attention with one of the most epic drum entrances I have ever heard in the intro of the song I am a sucker for unexpected drum fills, and that one is one of the best!

"Closer" is one that had to grow on me, but now that I am more familiar with it, it continues to grow on me and get stuck in my head. I do think it would have done alright as a single, although I definitely think they chose the right 5 songs to be singles for this album. Hopefully "If Not You" is next, because it is NOT the best album track from this album... It's still awesome, of course, but should have been out before both of the last two reveals, and definitely does not deserve to be the highest placing album track. Edit: Oh.

"Saturday Night" stood out from the rest of the album tracks for me in an album that was generally singles > album tracks, sad to see it not be the top album track.

for some reason "Saturday Night" just never connected. It is probably the only song from her first 3 albums that I do not like at all (though "Every Little Girl's Dream" isn't good either so there are two I don't like lol)

"Saturday Night" did not grab me immediately, but it definitely stands out from the album now that I have listened to it a few times. It is a very unique song for Jo Dee, because she's not really an artist I picture singing "party" songs, but she still manages to make it sound fun and believable! It can't compare with any of the singles, but this definitely should have outlasted "If Not You", at the very least...

I agree with the earlier comment that this is an album that the singles are much better than the Album Tracks, though I dislike "Dare to Dream."

it is a little later than anticipated so I am only posting #6 tonight. Tomorrow night though I will be finishing this up so be on for that!
Fun fact: Every song in the Top 5 has at least 1 #1 ranking. 2 of them have 3 #1 rankings, and two have 4 #1 rankings!
Here are the points for the Top 5: 46, 52, 52, 55, 84
As you can see it is all VERY close between the Top 4 with #5 not that far off. These 5 were the Top 5 for the entire submission period!
Any predictions on how this is gonna end?

I'm sorry Castle, but something is off with your Ranks graphic. I've noticed a few wrong for myself, I definitely didn't rank this last! ;)

I'm actually very surprised Downtown was so competitive. (Assuming Dare to Dream is #5)

I think I know exactly where I messed up and will fix it as soon as I can tomorrow night. Again sorry for the mix up, didn't notice it but I will fix it!

yes at SHOOTER having taste and ranking "Closer" #2! and how the HELL is "If Not You" the top album track? I ranked it 9 out of 11, but since listening to the album again it's definitely my least favorite. "Saturday Night" should've definitely outlasted it.

"If Not You" is a great song, and I do really like it, but it probably should have only been like the 4th-best album track. I seek it out less than I do "Saturday Night", "These Are The Days", and "Closer". It being the highest album track is basically us saying that it is the biggest missed single opportunity from this album, which sounds like a pretty comical statement imo. That being said, you've gotta love the "Seinfeld"-esque guitar leading into the 3rd chorus!

Here are the points for the Top 5: 46, 52, 52, 55, 84 Oh snap!! A tie between #2 and #3??!! I am perched to see how that plays out!! I predict it will progress as follows: 5. Dare To Dream 4. Downtime 3. Burn 2. That's The Way 1. Bring On The Rain Imo, "Burn" is the biggest wild card here. I kinda anticipated "Burn" would be eating the dust of "That's The Way" and "Bring On The Rain"; I know a few people dislike it for whatever reason. However, "Downtime" doesn't seem to have as high of a passion level based on conversations I have seen, so even if less people dislike it, I can't really see it pulling ahead of "Burn". Which would put "Burn" at #3. However, I would have never expected "Burn" to tie with the #2 song if it is indeed part of the tie, because like I said I figured it wouldn't stand a chance against BOTR and TTW! It is definitely possible that "Burn" is one of the songs with 4 #1 ranks while "That's The Way" only has 3, which would mean "Burn" wins the tie and gets to finish at #2. OMG I never dreamed it could be possible!!! I'm still fully expecting BOTR to be the winner, so to me the big battle to watch will be the tie between #2 and #3 Edit: And the other possibility is that "Downtime" DOES manage to beat "Burn". If that were to happen, I think we would for sure be looking at "That's The Way" finishing at #2, because I don't think "Downtime" would be able to beat that one in a tie.

I agree with bboat11 that “Saturday Night” is the better album track and I’m a bit surprised to see “If Not You” come out ahead. I am glad to see that “Closer” had quite a few bottom rankings and I wasn’t alone in disliking it. I couldn’t have imagined that was almost selected as a single as it never stood out to me as all that great. As for the top 5 I’m going to stick with my initial predictions: 5. Dare To Dream 4. Downtime 3. Burn 2. That's The Way 1. Bring On The Rain

The sheer amount of posts debating what is the best album track in this rankdown is hilarious. ... also "These Are the Days" is the correct answer and few are mentioning it so that's unfortunate to see as well. Really though Burn is easily her weakest album imo. I still like it and find it solid, but it doesn't have nearly the highs of any of her other records for me, and the album cuts in particular are nowhere near as good as most of the singles, which isn't the case with I'm Alright or Delicious Surprise especially.
