If it were up to me...
ROTY - I Like It (All the Stars as a close second) AOTY - Black Panther (but I don't think any of them truly "tower" above the others. All have a good chance) SOTY - All The Stars (I'd be fine with "Shallow" here too). BNA - Dua Lipa, duh. Best Pop Solo - Havana (GIAW as a close second). Pop/Duo - Shallow Pop Album - Sweetener (Reputation could sneak in if the truly want to throw Taylor a bone). Best Rap Song - God's Plan, gotta give Drake something. Rap/Sung - All The Stars Rap Perf - Nice for What (Be Careful if they truly want to shower Cardi with awards) Rap Album - Invasion of Privacy. Best Song for Visual - All The Stars Best Music Video - This is America (the video is really 75% of what made this such a moment).
We need a Pop Song category too.

Eh. I like Drake and his music was certainly the most popular this year... but do we really think it was the best? God's Plan in particular ain't even top 10 in his discography. Scorpion as a whole is middling, and I see why the rap panel snubbed it. It's only in AOTY because it was popular. I don't see Drake winning anything outside of the rap field. His only lock is Best Rap Song. I 100% agree. Scorpion came and went.

Rooting for anything to win AOTY except Scorpion and Beerbongs & Bentleys, anything to win ROTY except I Like It, Rockstar and The Middle, anything to win SOTY except God's Plan and The Middle and anyone to win BNA except Bebe Rexha. Did you post this solely to hurt me

Yes I do, I personally would of submitted nice for what instead Yup! If Nice for What was submitted and nominated for Record, I might actually be rooting for it in that category.

I would of done God Plan:Record of the year, Nice For What:Song of the year since NFW had more universal acclaim and could see it winning, while God Plan seemed safe to be nominated. In a perfect world he would win both regardless

That line of reasoning is becoming an increasingly less and less accurate way of predicting who'll actually win the genre categories. Ehh, I still think God's Plan will win though.

He was credited as a performer and a writer on the song in the nominations so if it wins Performance or Song he'll get a Grammy.

Ehh, I still think God's Plan will win though. This is true, but "God's Plan" remains the biggest hit, so it will not only win because of the SOTY nomination.

Can you imagine the meltdown if Bebe Rexha of all people wins a Country Grammy? And she's got a decent chance, considering how huge the song was.

Can you imagine the meltdown if Bebe Rexha of all people wins a Country Grammy? And she's got a decent chance, considering how huge the song was. Pentatonix won in that category a couple of years ago (albeit with Dolly Parton), and P!nk and Keith Urban were nominated that same year. Kelly Clarkson has been nominated twice there. So country peeps aren't really averse to recognizing collabs with pop artists, or even nominating songs where the pop artist is the perceived lead. The only meltdowns that might occur if MTB wins would be from seething fans of [insert whichever pop-nominated girls walk home empty-handed]. I think it's a toss-up between MTB and When Someone Stops Loving You (the latter wasn't a big hit and probably shouldn't even be there based on its release date, but Little Big Town has already won this category three times, so they have voter history on their side). I'm personally rooting for Dan + Shay's Tequila though.

I pray that the Academy awards Country Duo/Group to “Dear Hate.” Soooo so so good. I also just don’t see Maren winning any of her other categories this year, so it could be a good way to honor her this year. Wouldn’t be mad at Dan + Shay winning, either. They deserve it.
Could definitely see Little Big Town taking it, though. They’ve already won this award 3 times, in 2013, 2016, and 2018, and were nominated in ‘14 & ‘15.
Rexha/FGL winning would make sense, but critics would explode in rage if it did happen, and I can kind of understand why. The genre’s blatant sexism has been put on blast in increasingly more public ways these last few years (and it’s simultaneously worsened, too), and critics (+ some fans) have been mad as all hell that country radio & associations finally allowed a female-led mega-hit to take over the airwaves, but...it’s by a visiting pop singer, and not one of the women who’re consistently making music that they’re rooted in.

Everyone keeps predicting all the acts in country duo have a shot at winning with the exception of Brothers Osborne... don't overlook the underdogs
