So, we are down to two. Did "Superstition" finally overcome its #2 demons, or did "Lazarus" get revenge on its Daryl's 2010's Indie RD performance and take the top spot? I will give one hint before making the post: It wasn't close.

Going into the rankdown, I thought that this song was the favorite to win. In fact, it was only in the top three at one point in the entire ranking process: The last ranking. And that was all that mattered. This song never left the top four. It was top two in all but two rankings. It was #1 for the last nine rankings. There was never any doubt: This rankdown belonged to the Starman.
(Oh, and congratulations on that #1 P-P-P-P-PERFECT RANKING, Rowell. )

Great, well deserving winner. Both great songs, but Bowie deserved this one. Awesome rankdown as always, Red ! This was a lot of fun.

And that is that! As always, I enjoyed hosting this rankdown for everyone, and I had as much fun hosting it as you guys did following along. Admittedly, the lack of the forty reveal posts gave this rankdown a slightly different feel, but I guess it will help to get you guys ready for the deluge of rankdowns that are coming.
Oh, what's that you say? "Deluge of rankdowns?" Well, while the main Journey trilogy is over, I have been hard at work coming up with several different lists for future Rankdowns. In the future (both near and far), I will be hosting a series of rankdowns that aren't really main Journey rankdowns, but are extensions of the Journey. I have quite a few different types of rankdowns set up for the future, including a pop-only rankdown, a covers rankdown, and a couple of rankdowns that will test the patience and fortitude of Pulse. For now, though, we'll keep things simple and go back to the decade where my taste in music truly blossomed into what it is today, focusing on my favorite genre.
See you guys later...in the 2000's.

10. The Strokes - "some weird title but great song"Hey waddayouknow? One of my top 5 songs made the top 10. 9. Weezer - Island In The SunBetween this and that "Summer" crap, this is the best beach vibe song. 8. Metric - Help I'm AliveThis is a cool song, Gimme Sypathy" and "Monster Hospital" will always be my favs. 7. The War on Drugs - Under PressureThis isn't that bad, but there wasn't much else I could tank besides rap? 6. Black Sabbath - Children Of The GraveMajestic classic. and I got a P-P-P-PERFECT Ranking too. 5. Danzig - MotherThis should be a clue of where I might put it when it appears on the year end rankdowns. I always loved his Morrison like vocals tones. BTW, both Metal songs out before the Top 3 doesn't sit well with me. 4. Arcade Fire - No cars GoGood old school Arcade Fire. I've only heard this about 5 times so far. 3. A Perfect Circle - BlueNot bad ,but I don't go nuts over Alternative Metal. 2. Stevie Wonder - SuperstitionI wish this would have won? This is his best ever. 1. David Bowie - LazurusThis sin't the David Bowie I grew up with. Not a favorite of mine at all, but I know you guys love it, so good for you guys. Once again a great job by Red at the hosting...I'm still sore about "Separate Ways" that's one of their strongest rockers. Neil Schon really took it up another level on the guitar.
