This wasn't as strong as her two prior albums, but it was a very special era, albeit one that has been negatively retconned by the followup. Seeing her super up close during the tour for this is one my personal favorite music memories.

Taylor was untouchable during this era, this was her official transformation from a country starlet to the biggest pop star in the world. 1989 was definitely her commercial peak.

Love this album. The highs on Red were probably better, but as a whole 1989 is the most cohesive album she's done and it was (IMO) deserving of all the praise, sales, and the AOTY it got (apologies to the Kendrick fans, but still).

Doesn't have her best song overall (though I don't think she's ever going to top All Too Well), but I love this album. Definitely her most consistent.

My second favorite album of hers (Fearless is the first). Going from a high like this to reputation is pretty strange considering how consistent she was when she put out country material.

Great pop album from Taylor. A very consistent album with lots of great tracks. My 2nd favourite album from her After Speak Now.

Probably my favorite album of all time (along with 'Red'). It's also the one that completely changed my life and the way I see things. Also, the era (summer 2014-spring 2016) is the best part of my life and I don't know if the album has anything to do with it but those were my glory days!

I love this album. Special moments such as "Style", "Wildest Dreams" and "I Know Places" are pop perfections.

This album made her a superstar.
She was huge before, but this was the album that broke her into the European market. It did so well in the UK.

1989 was one of those eras that popular music enthusiasts will never forget, whether you actually liked the music or not. Truly an iconic record and one of the best pop albums released this century IMO.

Easily Taylor's best and most cohesive album for me. This was definitely Taylor's commercial peak and she was on top during this era. I'd probably put this in my Top 3 albums of the decade. Plus, 1989 has my all time favorite Taylor single (OOTW)

This was a great era to be stanning Taylor. She was just smashing left and right, she was unstoppable (well, until OOTW). "Shake It Off" came out the day before I left for college, so there's a nostalgic factor associated with this era too, Taylor was dominating the first 1.5 years of college for me!

The Pop Trinity of Blank Space, Style, and Out Of The Woods is one of the best 1-2-3 punches on any pop album this decade.

Already 5 years? Damn, this album was a huge game changer for Taylor Swift. It was the complete transition to pure pop in all the right ways. One of the best of the 2010s.
