One of Willie Nelson's stronger offerings.... still doesn't go very far with me. Can't stand him.

The legends take a hit with Willie Nelson kicking this off in last place. As you can see from the history (second image) this song was never destined to place all that high but it did bounce around and only the very last ranking pushed it into last place. When choosing who to put into this I put Willie Nelson in for my Grandmother. He was her favorite singer. I inherited all of his CD's that she owned. "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain" was her favorite song. I had almost chosen "Angels Flying Too Close To The Ground" because I like that one a lot but for her I chose this one. No matter what song of his I chose I probably would have ranked each one rather low against the other songs in this list. This song was a classic though and I couldn't let myself rank it in the Bottom 10 which is why I ranked it at #40. Up next is the song that born bumped up ahead of Willie. I honestly had no idea how these rankings would go but I didn't expect this next song to go in the Bottom 10 at all...

I actually wasn't sure if I underranked this or not; it sounded much better than a bottom five to me, but I suppose the lack of availability from Spotify didn't help this one much.

Blaine Larsen is the second one out. I really did not expect this song to be at the bottom for so many people and thought my ranking would be one of the lowest. Don't let my #46 ranking fool you, I do love this song and still listen to it regularly. When choosing a song for this it was between this song and "How Do You Get That Lonely". Decided to go with this one because it is a more upbeat fun song and I wanted to have a mix of slow and upbeat songs. At #48 is a song that spent the majority of the submission period in the 31-40 range until dub list came out and knocked it into the Bottom 10 and it never recovered.

Blaine Larson has a FANTASTIC voice.... "Chillin'" doesn't showcase it at all. Not a song I really enjoy much at all.

Omg, did not see that last place coming AT ALL!! What a shocker! Personally I have always found Willie to be mediocre in almost every way, but I figured other people enjoyed him enough that I would have never imagined he'd end up in last place!
"Chillin'" was one that I did not enjoy at all when listening to this list. The appeal of Blaine Anderson continues to be lost on me, but this was by far the worst song from him I have heard.

"That's Another Song" was just super boring to me. If it was from a vocalist that I find more compelling, I probably could have found something to enjoy, but coming from a no-name like him, it basically didn't have any redeeming qualities at all!

Bryan White's Between Now and Forever album was one of the first Country albums I ever owned and I loved it. The reason I wanted it was for "That's Another Song". Not sure why but 10 year old me LOVED that song. This was one of the few Country songs I liked before I was really a fan of the genre. I still love this song and listening to it again for this made me remember how much I do love this song. I do think it belongs near the bottom of these songs but not this low at all.
Up next one of the artist that are on the Country Charts currently will be leaving us. This next song deserved at least 10 spots higher...

I love "Better I Don't" and it is a song I just enjoy a lot. Chris Janson may not have the best voice but he makes up for that in energy in both his songs and his performances. Really enjoyed seeing him live last summer and hope I get the chance to see him live again.
Last reveal for today will see a song that I have been kicking myself for including since right after I revealed it. I think that is a big enough hint but I will explain why I chose it and why I regret the choice.

#46 ~ Makin' Me Say - Brett YoungAlbum: Brett Young Songwriter: Jon Nite, Cary Barlowe, Zach Crowell This song was not my original choice for Brett Young. I had originally chosen "Left Side of Leavin'" because that is my favorite song from his album (or it was, have gotten a little burnt out on it). When I revealed this song I hadn't yet revealed the results for his album rankdown where this song ended up being last place. I switched songs because "Left Side of Leavin'" was my #1 in that rankdown and I didn't want to give that away by it being revealed for this. Still should have left it or at least chosen "You Ain't Here To Kiss Me" because I did consider that one Ranks Received: castleoblivion26 someguy rgreen0625 @xfer tim Cody Wants Out... .indulgecountry dub bboat11 Kanenrá:ke LBTrocks born

lol bye Brett. Also #shocker but "Mercy" would have been my #1 if it was included in this lol. I never considered "Mercy" because I knew that song was going to be included in many other rankdowns to come. Same with any of the other singles honestly. Still "Makin' Me Say" was as bad a choice as "Beautiful Believer" or "Close Enough" would have been. Eh can't change it now

I’m expecting a Top 10 slaughter for me soon.
I started this Rankdown saying “I have to be unbiased and give every song a chance” but I ended up having a basic ass top 10.
Hint: Are they young and handsome? Are they relatively new artists? Then, they made my top 10 lol
By the way, if “Close Enough” was in this instead of “Makin’ Me Say”, it would’ve been my #4 or something lol

"Makin' Me Say" is Brett Young's weakest song, so I'm more than fine with it making an early departure. I'm shocked that Chris Janson is out already though, and I also didn't expect Willie Nelson to come in last place, even though I usually don't care for his music and found "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" rather boring compared to most of these. However, I am glad to see the painfully boring "That's Another Song" leave in the bottom 5 where it belongs.

#45 ~ Surprise - Trent WillmonAlbum: A Little More Livin' Songwriter: Brandon Kinney, Trent Willmon I love this song. I have enjoyed most of Trent Willmon's output and that is why I included him in this. I never considered another song as this is easily my favorite from him. I just find it fun and I'm usually a fan of Karma coming back to bite people. Not surprised to see this out early though against the other songs in this Ranks Received: castleoblivion26 someguy rgreen0625 @xfer tim Cody Wants Out... .indulgecountry dub bboat11 Kanenrá:ke LBTrocks born

Not surprised to see "Surprise" leaving. This song was almost lower for me, but when I listened to it again I realized just how funny the lyrics were, which helped boost it up to #45 for me.
