#36 ~ Then They Do - Trace AdkinsAlbum: Greatest Hits Collection, volume 1 Songwriter: Sunny Russ, Jim Collins Trace Adkins was always an artist I really liked but I never loved. That being said he belongs on this list because some of his songs are among my favorites for the years they were released. Originally I was gonna choose "Don't Lie" but I switched to this one because my Mom said it reminds her of my two sisters and me, especially the video. Both were close to my ranking so I'm okay. My 48 and 49 are still in though and lots of you predicted that my #48 will make the top 10 lol.

It's catch-up time!!!! Bryan White - "That's Another Song" I actually liked this one a good bit; he seems to be one of those talented artists that tends to be done dirty by us Pulsers. Maybe "So Much for Pretending" or "I'm Not Supposed to Love You Anymore" would've done better? Chris Janson - "Better I Don't"THANK GOD THIS IS FINALLY OUT!!!!!!!! This ain't no better than "Sun Daze" to me, and I know how we feel about that song and FGL right?!? Brett Young - "Makin' Me Say"Yeah, that was a bone-head move, including this song here. It's a cute song and all, but it was pretty much doomed from the start! :O Trent Willmon - "Surprise"I wanted to like this one more than I actually did, but the lyrical twists were nice. Clay Davidson - "Come Rain or Shine"This one tended to drag on and on a bit, but it wasn't too bad imo; however, "Unconditional" was one of my favorites from my childhood! Hal Ketchum - "Hearts Are Gonna Roll"I've been trying to get into this one as it's also in my '93 Country RD, but something's just not clickin' with me. Eric Church - "Without You Here"This had a couple of things going against it for me. First, the melody seemed very weird and got repetitive; second, the song ended quite abruptly? Why? The lyrics were nice, though. Mark Wills - "Still Waiting"This was only okay at best imo, but it could've been worse... Kenny Chesnet - "You Win, I Win, We Lose"This was my favorite discovery as I'm not that familiar with Kenny's albums from the 90s. Blake Shelton - "The Dreamer"This was actually pretty decent! Unfortunately, it went in one ear and out the other on my end. Toby Keith - "When Love Fades"Same sentiment as "The Dreamer". George Jones - "The Cold Hard Truth"I wanted to like this one; I really wanted to like this one! Sadly, it wasn't able to click with me. Trace Adkins - "Then They Do"Wait, I actually remembered this one! I somehow thought that this was another obscure album track, but it actually went top 10 on radio iirc. It's pretty nice actually!

Wow, these last few eliminations have been hitting hard for me!
"When Love Fades" is definitely not a song I was expecting to do too well here, but I love it! However, I will admit I only love it because I went out of my way to familiarize myself with Toby's singles catalog several years ago. This was one of the few songs that I didn't know, and when I listened I was like, "Really? This is a weird song..." But now it has had several years to grow on me, and now I love it just as much as most of his other hits. I am not at all shocked that this flopped on the charts, or that it left in the bottom half here, but I still love it!
"The Cold Hard Truth" was a nice discovery! I thought the production was awesome! When I saw a George Jones song in the playlist, I was certain it was going to sound super old and dated and be hard to rank among everything else, but this one was actually quite modern and nice!
"Then They Do" is out WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY too early... One of Trace's best songs! :'( I understand overplay may have burnt people on this one, but to put this in the bottom 15??! That's not cool.

Not a ton of surprises yet, but y'all did "The Cold Hard Truth" very dirty. I'm by no means the biggest George Jones fan, but this is a modern gold standard country song at its finest. I also share in castleoblivion26's disappointment in seeing Hal Ketchum's "Hearts Are Gonna Roll" eliminated already. I agree he's probably one of the underrated 90s artists on Pulse and has many classic hits that can still be heard on the radio today. I think this song is great and can't help but to bob my head and sing along with it every time I hear it.

Eric Church - "Without You Here"This had a couple of things going against it for me. First, the melody seemed very weird and got repetitive; second, the song ended quite abruptly? Why?The lyrics were nice, though. Quite obvious connection to the lyric there: "I'm a melody living in a world that can't hear sound"

Unfortunately I am not quite on board with the Kip Moore hype. I can say that after his rankdown I really like a few of his songs, but very few of them stuck with me. This one left me pretty underwhelmed. He's probably somebody I need to listen to more though, because I do feel like every song I have heard from him I enjoy it more the more I listen to it!

“Bittersweet Company” should’ve been the next single and can’t believe the powers that be were so opposed to the word “hell” being included that they wanted an edit. I didn’t become a fan of Kip’s until his last album Wild Ones which I still consider one of the best albums of 2015. The label completely missed the mark with the single selections, but that was a terrific record. “Girl of the Summer” remains one of the biggest missed single opportunities in recent memory.

I’m not sure what it was exactly about “Real” that I disliked so much, but I still find it to be unlistenable. I don’t like the lyrics and I don’t really enjoy his voice. This was easily my least favorite song in the rankdown.

#33 ~ Tennesee Whiskey - Chris StapletonAlbum: Traveller Songwriter: Dean Dillon, Linda Hargrove For some reason I thought this song was a Top 10 lock and almost didn't include it because of that but it only barely made Top 10 once and never recovered. I'm okay with it going here because while I like the song a lot and I do think Chris is very talented I like almost everyone else in this a lot more. Oh wow, Stapleton's leaving earlier than I expected him to! I didn't think he was a lock for the top 10, but I definitely figured he'd be more of a contender for the top half.

I had a feeling "Tennessee Whiskey" might underperform in this rankdown and not at all surprised to see him leave already. I'm a big fan of his but this cover isn't really one of my go-to songs by him (although it is one of the highlights that he does live).

#32 ~ Love Makes Me - Hunter HayesAlbum: Hunter Hayes Songwriter: Hunter Hayes, Katrina Elam, Bonnie Baker I wasn't sure how this song would do. Originally I was gonna put "Rainy Season" in because I have always loved that one but I figured it would be a bottom 5 lock so I chose this one because I knew it was better received from the album so I was interested to see if it would do better than I expected him to do and honestly it has. I love this song and still think it was a missed opportunity. Ranks Received: castleoblivion26 someguy rgreen0625 @xfer tim Cody Wants Out... .indulgecountry dub bboat11 Kanenrá:ke LBTrocks born

I find 98% of Kip Moore songs, to sound exactly the same. It's aggravating, cause I admit, the first time I listened to him, was because I thought he was pretty cute (lol don't laugh!) But as you can see, not even that saved him from my dislike. I like a couple songs on Wild Ones, but nothing from his other albums :/
Sad also to see James Wesley gone, I remember loving that song when I heard it years ago, and wonder to this day, what happened? Why didn't he hit it big?
And I like Chris Stapleton, but I think the whole world overrates him in a massive way.

#31 ~ Starting Now - Chuck WicksAlbum: Starting Now Songwriter: Chuck Wicks, Anna Wilson, Jeff Franzell I have always really enjoyed Chuck Wicks album and choosing a song for this was not easy. There were 3 songs I was considering for this: "Starting Now", "The Easy Part", and "What If You Stay". I really love those 3 songs a lot. The only other song I considered was his single "Us Again" which I am a big fan of as well. I ranked Chris Stapleton higher than I expected to. He's a good singer whatever but I don't get the HYPE. Tennessee Whiskey is fine, but I feel like I heard it a million times a few years ago and was just over it.

"The Cold Hard Truth" being out already is just disrespectful. :'(
Love "Real" and James. I get that he didn't stand out really but he's so likeable imo.
"Tennessee Whiskey" and "Then They Do" I was sure would be a lot higher, I'm sad they're out already. :(
I didn't love Chuck Wicks' album but there were a few good songs and the title track is probably my favorite from it!
"Love Makes Me" is so catchy, but I wish you had put "Rainy Season" in as that would've been a helluva lot higher on my list. I still wonder if Hunter will ever make a comeback? I truly thought with his first album doing so well he'd have been bigger.

Cackling @ Stapleton not even making the top half. I totally thought he was a lock for Top 10 and that a handful of low ranks like mine and LBTrocks would be the anomalies, so I'm pleasantly surprised to see "Tennessee Whiskey" come nowhere near that high. He's so overrated and that is not one of his better songs at all, so bye!

#30 ~ Lies I Told Myself - Ty HerndonAlbum: Lies I Told Myself Songwriter: Neil Carpenter, Neal Coty I have been a fan of Ty Herndon's since 1997 when he had the song "A Man Holdin' On (To A Woman Letting Go)" out. I actually knew "Livin' In A Moment", "What Mattered Most", "She Wants To Be Wanted Again", and "I Want My Goodbye Back" before that but didn't realize they were all him. He has become a favorite and I've followed his music even after his radio days were complete. I love the songs "Stones", "Right About Now", and this song. I chose this one because I just love the message of this song. I ranked it as low as I did because I have never listened to it as much as the others but don't take my low ranking to mean I dislike it and I was rooting for it to make it further but for me it had to be near the bottom. #29 ~ I Wouldn't Have Missed It For The World - Ronnie MilsapAlbum: There's No Gettin' Over Me Songwriter: Kye Fleming, Dennis Morgan, Charles Quillen Ronnie Milsap deserved the Top half at least. "I Wouldn't Have Missed It For The World" is a classic and I believe one of the best songs from the '80's. I love this song and was really excited to include it. I did almost choose "There's A Stranger In My House" but I went with this one because I do prefer this one a little more.
