Has a single ever been last in an album Rankdown though? And it is not terrible. Martina McBride's "Marry Me" was last in the Eleven rankdown, and that one was a single (even though it flopped coming off of a top 5 country hit). |

Done! Ranking this reminded me that this really is one of my least-favorite albums of hers. Some real gems, and then some slick pop songs, but the vast majority of the album falls into such MOTR territory that it was a bit hard to rank anything beyond the top and bottom three.

I love the songs I've heard from this album. I have heard half of the songs from this and they are all great.
Will say though that "I Do Not Hook Up" is definitely not deserving of being near the top. "Don't Let Me Stop You" and "Cry" are two of my favorites from this album.

I know fans are usually divided on MLWSWY, but I thought Already Gone was generally liked? I know there was the Halo debacle, but I consider AG the better song.... No knock on Beyoncé.

AG is beautiful, but I think it's just so hard to separate the song from the controversy for several fans. FWIW I tried to forget about the Halo thing and rank it based on the live performances at the time since Kelly used a different backing arrangement for those. Still didn't make my top 5, but it is in my top 10. AG just has a lot of hidden gems.
I don't rank Halo very high in Beyonce's discography for the same reason, even though she got the better end of the deal. It's hard for me to hear it without accidentally singing AG's hook at some point.

Plus, I always knew they sounded similar but not to the point that it was distracting. But I'm so biased. I had "Halo" at #2 (Beyoncé singles) and "Already Gone" at #1 (Kelly singles). |

AG is beautiful and definitely the best single this album has to offer (oops, I just revealed one of my ranks), but this album has so many gems that either were passed up as singles for some ridiculous reason or weren't particularly radio friendly and would have never been singles.

'Cry' deserved to be more than just a random Australian/German radio single. Then again 'All I Ever Wanted' should've been the fourth hit from the album so 'Cry' could even get better treatment.
