Rick James - well, the PONR singles as a whole - really aren't that bad. The Pen & Pixel single artwork combined with the admittedly 2000-and-late-ish production just set such a low-budget tone that most people immediately checked out on the whole era, unfortunately. Marketing and image have been Keyshia's Achilles heel for the past several years now.

The video is cute too. Whats the chart about? The charts show how a song's rank moved up or down with each submission. For example, Legendary started at 37, dropped to 38 with the third submission, and then never moved from last place.

I decide to reveal #25~33 today, as most of them are non-singles. On the other hand, we're (finally) about to have people losing their top 10(s) and even top 5! Any guess on which one of her official singles would be out first today?

#31 (tie) “I Got a Thang for You” (2008) Trina featuring Keyshia Cole Second single from Trina a.k.a. “Queen of Miami”’s fourth studio album Still da Baddest. With “I Got a Thang for You”, the duo obviously attempted to recreate the success of Trina’s crossover hit “Here We Go” (2005, #17 on Hot 100). The song was released at the time when Keyshia was killing it with her Just Like You singles. So, it was quite a disappointment that this only reached #59 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. The Point of No Return singles were so weak compared to the majority of her other album eras. Lol @ them all going out in the bottom 10.

I like She but the lyrics are admittedly structured weirdly. It's like the writers were trying so hard to play coy about the subject matter that they got in their own way and crossed the fine line between ambiguity and confusion.
NT(WGMHA)'s video is doing too much with that shoestring budget. She should have saved the $100 those special effects cost and made that nothing but a bunch of 'beauty' shots. As for the song itself, I actually like how restrained the vocal is, but I think it would have felt more impactful if it were just her voice and a piano.
Overall I don't mind the PONR singles at all, their worst drawback is that they all felt like good ideas that didn't get fleshed out to bring them to their full potential. The era has a very 'unfinished' feel to it.

Tonight is occupied, so I'll send out the results for #25-29 now. The scores of these five songs are very close, all within the range of 377-389. I also just added to the previous results the total score each song has, followed by its gap with its previous song in the parenthesis. --- #29 “Get Your Money Up” (2009) Keri Hilson featuring Keyshia Cole and Trina Track 3 from Keri Hilson’s debut album In a Perfect World…. Anthem for them strippers in the hood. This song was initially set to be released as the fourth single following the smash hits “Turnin’ Me On” (Hot 100 #15) and “Knock You Down” (Hot 100 #3). Rumor also had it that Keri wanted M.I.A. on the remix to replace Trina. Nonetheless, neither plan materialized, and “Slow Dance” (R&B/Hip-Hop #49) was made the next single instead, potentially due to Keri’s wish to release a completely solo recording. Reception for this song in our rankdown is lukewarm, as five people ranked it at the middle of their lists. As you can see in the chart below, singingrulebritannia and Caviar efficiently tanked this song with their double #38 and let me tell ya I’m not happy. #28 “I Ain’t Thru”from Calling All Hearts (2010) Keyshia Cole featuring Nicki Minaj First single from Keyshia’s fourth studio album Calling All Hearts. The song was yet another single she notoriously recycled from her earlier material (the other two being “Playa Cardz Right” and “Trust”). The release of it also marked the end of Keyshia’s golden time, as it was her first single that failed to reach the Top 10 on R&B/Hip-Hop chart (only peaked at #54) following nine consecutive solo Top-10 R&B hits (from “I Should Have Cheated” to “Trust”) from 2005 to 2009. For this flop, Keyshia was also forced into a twitter beef with her past collaborator Lil’Kim, who was in the middle of beefing Nicki at that time. Reception for this song in this rankdown was split, with two people putting it in their Top 10 while two #38, thus leading to its sixth-highest SD. #25 (tie) “Zero”from Woman to Woman (2012) Keyshia Cole featuring Meek Mill Track 2 from her fifth studio album Woman to Woman. “Zero” was initially intended as the third single for a spring release following “Trust and Believe”, but for some reason the release did not materialize and her label decided to release “I Choose You” instead of this to Urban AC radio. Pulse users loved this track when it first came out, but later it seemed to have fell into oblivion for many. Only three non-singles have successfully gotten themselves into the Top 25: "Fallin' Out", "Long Way Down" and "Oh-Oh, Yeah-Yea (feat. Nas)" Any guess on which one would be the highest non-single material?
